WordPress Developer; Design + SEO

WordPress Developer — Design + SEO (Part-Time, Remote) About us We're an established corporate and business litigation law firm that runs lean and moves fast. We're technology-forward by design and lean on modern tools to do more than a firm our size normally could. We're looking for a developer who shares that mindset to own and evolve our web presence. The role We're looking for a WordPress developer with a strong design sensibility and real SEO chops. This is an ongoing part-time engagement, roughly 15–20 hours per week, fully remote. You'll be the person we hand the website to — not someone we have to walk through every task. Our site runs on WordPress + Elementor and needs both day-to-day care and a thoughtful structural upgrade (moving from a largely single-page build toward a clean, scalable multi-page architecture). You should be comfortable doing both: shipping polished improvements now and helping us build the foundation for where the site is going. What you'll do Maintain, update, and improve the site — design, layout, content updates, and performance Design pages that look credible and premium for a professional-services audience, with a genuine eye for typography, spacing, and hierarchy Restructure the site toward a proper multi-page setup (practice-area hubs, supporting pages, location pages) instead of a single-page build Handle SEO end to end as needed — from basics (titles, meta descriptions, internal linking, image optimization) to more technical work (schema/JSON-LD, canonicals, redirects, Core Web Vitals) Manage Google Search Console: submit and index our pages, monitor coverage, and fix indexation issues so our content actually shows up in search Read and interpret Google Analytics (GA4) to track performance and turn the data into clear recommendations Spot issues and opportunities on your own and bring solutions, not just questions What we're looking for Strong WordPress + Elementor experience; comfortable in the underlying HTML/CSS when the builder isn't enough A real design eye — your past work should look clean, modern, and trustworthy Demonstrated SEO experience, technical and on-page, ideally with measurable results Hands-on with Google Search Console (indexing, sitemaps, coverage) and Google Analytics (GA4) — you can both execute and explain what the numbers mean AI-savvy and fluent in using AI tools to your advantage — you actively use them to work faster and smarter, whether for SEO research, content drafting, design iteration, code, or QA. We're a tech-forward firm and want someone who thinks the same way Experience building or maintaining law firm or professional-services websites (you understand the credibility and compliance sensibilities that come with it) Self-directed and proactive — you can take a goal, run with it, and check in at the right moments without being managed task-by-task Nice to have Familiarity with legal SEO (E-E-A-T signals, local SEO, attorney directories), schema markup, and AI/answer-engine optimization Logistics Part-time, ~15–20 hours/week, ongoing, remote Flexible hours; we care about output and responsiveness, not clock-watching To apply Send a short note, your portfolio (with at least one professional-services or law firm site if you have one), and one example of an SEO problem you diagnosed and fixed — what the issue was, what you did, and the result. Tell us how you use AI in your workflow.
