Job Title WordPress Developer / Designer: Clean Site Redesign & Beaver Builder Migration to Gutenberg Job Description Overview We are looking for an experienced WordPress Web Designer/Developer to overhaul our existing website. We are moving away from Beaver Builder due to stability and performance issues, and transitioning to a clean, fast, secure, and fully responsive setup using a lightweight theme coupled with the native WordPress Block Editor (Gutenberg). Our primary goals are complete visual consistency, rock-solid stability, fast loading speeds on mobile/desktop, and absolute preservation of our current SEO rankings. Core Responsibilities Theme Migration: Seamlessly transition our site from Beaver Builder to a high-performance theme like Kadence WP or GeneratePress. Global Layout Consistency: Implement a site-wide global styling system (colors, typography, spacing) via the WordPress customizer—no hardcoded block-level styling. Dynamic Blog Design: Create a single, dynamic "Single Post Template" using the theme’s hook/element system. This template must apply perfectly and consistently to all existing blog posts and automatically format all future posts. Speed & Core Web Vitals: Deliver a secure site that scores 90+ on Google PageSpeed Insights for both desktop and mobile, focusing heavily on clean code structure. Responsive Execution: Ensure flawless layouts across all devices, viewports, and browsers (Safari, Chrome, iOS, Android). Project Requirements & Quality Standards (Please Read Carefully) We run an established business and cannot afford downtime, broken links, or lost organic search traffic. We expect our freelancer to adhere to the following standards: Staging Environment Only: All development must be executed on a separate staging site. Nothing goes live until it is tested and approved. Global Over Individual: You must utilize global color palettes and typography. If we need to update a brand color in the future, it should take 5 seconds in the customizer, not a page-by-page manual edit. Strict SEO Preservation: Existing URL structures, permalinks, and metadata must remain completely untouched. If any URL changes are structurally unavoidable, permanent 301 redirects must be mapped and verified prior to launch. No Plugin Bloat: Do not install third-party plugins for minor UI features (sliders, social shares, icons, etc.) that can be handled natively by the theme or core Gutenberg blocks.
