I run a specialist digital agency that builds conversion-focused websites for short-term rental (STR) property owners, built on WordPress with Elementor Pro, structured for local SEO, and integrated with third-party booking systems (Lodgify, Hostaway, Guesty etc.). I'm looking for one long-term designer-developer to become the go-to person for these client builds. Not a one-off contractor, but a reliable partner who can take a brief and produce polished, professional websites without needing their hand held through every design decision. To find the right person, I'm starting with a test project. THE TEST PROJECT QL is a premium mathematics coaching business on the Gold Coast. The site is already built on WordPress/Elementor Pro with all copy and content in place. It needs a full UI overhaul, not a rebuild, but a meaningful visual transformation that makes it look and feel genuinely premium. The site must: - Feel calm, minimal, and premium, not generic or template-heavy - Communicate a selective high-value service clearly within seconds of landing - Have strong visual hierarchy with clear conversion pathways - Be fully mobile-responsive with excellent spacing and rhythm - Use a defined brand palette (deep navy and white) with clean sans-serif typography - Score 90+ on PageSpeed after delivery A detailed brand guide and page-by-page brief will be provided. You bring the design judgment and execution. THE LONG-TERM ROLE If the QL result is strong, the ongoing work is building client websites for the STR agency. Those sites are: - Built on WordPress and Elementor Pro - Property and photography-forward with strong visual hierarchy - Mobile-first (most STR guests browse on phones) - SEO-structured from the ground up using Rank Math - Integrated with booking platforms via embed or widget - Delivered to a documented build system with brand guides and a defined plugin stack This is project-by-project work that grows as client volume increases, ideal for someone who wants a reliable agency partner rather than one-off jobs. WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR - Strong design sensibility, thinking in layout, hierarchy and conversion rather than just execution - Elementor Pro expertise with clean fast builds without bloated plugins - Comfortable working to a brief and documented system - Proactive communicator who flags issues early - PageSpeed 90+ is non-negotiable - Experience with hospitality, property or professional services sites is a strong advantage TO APPLY Please include: 1.
