WordPress Website Maintenance & Content Updates for Animal Sanctuary (Ongoing) About Us Freedom Farm Animal Sanctuary is a Connecticut-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to rescuing abused, neglected, and abandoned farm animals while providing humane education and community outreach. We are looking for a reliable, experienced WordPress professional to become our long-term website support partner. Position Overview We are seeking someone to maintain our existing WordPress website, perform routine updates, add new content when requested, and ensure our site remains secure and running smoothly. This is not a full-time position. Work will be on an as-needed basis, typically involving content updates, new pages, photos, and occasional website improvements. Responsibilities * Update website text and images as requested * Create new pages and edit existing pages * Maintain and troubleshoot our WordPress website * Keep plugins, themes, and WordPress updated * Monitor website security and resolve issues * Maintain GoDaddy hosting services and security features * Ensure the website remains fast, functional, and user-friendly * Recommend improvements to layout and user experience when appropriate * Be available for occasional priority updates Required Qualifications * Several years of WordPress experience * Experience with Divi (Elegant Themes) is required * Experience managing websites hosted on GoDaddy * Strong understanding of website security and best practices * Ability to troubleshoot website issues independently * Excellent communication skills * Ability to meet reasonable turnaround times * Portfolio of previous WordPress websites * Client reviews and references Preferred Qualifications * Located in the Eastern Time Zone (or available during East Coast business hours) * Experience working with nonprofit organizations * Familiarity with SEO best practices * Experience with other hosting providers is a plus, as we may migrate hosting in the future. Project Details This is an ongoing relationship rather than a one-time project.
