This is intended to be a simple Phase 1 launch and does not require a complex configurator. The ecommerce functionality is to be added as a new section of the existing WordPress website, not as a replacement of the current website. Existing SEO settings, page URLs, Google rankings and website content must remain unchanged unless approved. A full website backup must be completed before development begins. A backup of the website and database must be completed before the ecommerce section goes live. Any changes should be tested on a staging/development environment before being pushed to the live website. The developer must advise if any proposed changes may affect existing SEO performance or rankings. Preferred Website Structure The online ordering system should be added as a separate menu item, for example: Home | Blinds | Curtains | Shutters | Order Online | Contact Rather than replacing or redesigning the existing website. Preference will be given to solutions that utilise existing WooCommerce plugins rather than custom-built systems where practical.
