# Senior Workday Integration Consultant — Part-Time ## Overview We are seeking a highly experienced **Workday Integration Consultant** to help design and build a multi-stage Workday integration. This is a part-time contract engagement requiring approximately **15–20 hours per week**. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience developing complex, production-grade Workday integrations and can provide both strategic guidance and technical execution. This is not an entry-level or general HRIS role. We need a specialist who can independently evaluate requirements, recommend the appropriate integration architecture, and build each stage of the solution. ## Responsibilities * Review our business requirements, existing systems, data flows, and integration goals. * Translate requirements into a clear, staged Workday integration plan. * Recommend the appropriate Workday integration tools and architecture. * Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations. * Build integrations using technologies such as Workday Studio, Enterprise Interface Builder, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs. * Configure data transformations, field mappings, validation rules, error handling, and monitoring. * Work with inbound and outbound data feeds, including XML, XSLT, JSON, CSV, SFTP, and API-based integrations. * Troubleshoot integration failures, data-quality issues, authentication problems, and performance concerns. * Support security configuration, including Integration System Users and integration security groups. * Create clear technical documentation for architecture, mappings, configurations, dependencies, testing, and ongoing support. * Communicate progress, risks, technical decisions, and blockers to technical and nontechnical stakeholders. * Provide recommendations for scalability, maintainability, security, and long-term support. ## Required Qualifications * Extensive professional experience designing and building Workday integrations. * Advanced hands-on experience with Workday Studio. * Strong experience with EIBs, Core Connectors, Workday Web Services, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs. * Strong knowledge of XML, XSLT, JSON, CSV, SFTP, and web-service integrations. * Experience developing complex, multi-stage integrations involving Workday and external systems. * Strong understanding of Workday security as it relates to integrations. * Demonstrated experience with integration testing, deployment, monitoring, error handling, and production support. * Ability to work independently with limited supervision. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to explain complex Workday concepts clearly and document all work thoroughly. ## Preferred Qualifications * Workday certification or formal Workday integration training. * Experience integrating Workday with payroll, benefits, finance, identity management, recruiting, time-tracking, or other enterprise platforms. * Experience working in phased implementations or integration modernization projects. * Experience reviewing and improving integrations originally developed by other consultants or teams. * Availability for occasional meetings during U.S. business hours. ## Engagement Details * **Hours:** Approximately 15–20 hours per week * **Engagement type:** Part-time contract * **Location:** Remote * **Duration:** Initial project engagement with the possibility of ongoing work * **Start date:** As soon as possible ## Expected Deliverables Initial deliverables may include: 1. Review of requirements and current-state systems. 2. Recommended integration architecture and technical approach. 3. A phased implementation plan with milestones and dependencies. 4. Development and configuration of the required integrations. 5. Test plans, test results, and resolution of identified issues. 6. Deployment and production-validation support. 7. Complete technical and operational documentation. 8.
