Wound Care Medical Scribe

Patriot Medical is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Scribe (specializing in wound care) to support our healthcare providers by documenting patient encounters accurately and efficiently. The Wound Care Medical Scribe plays a critical role in ensuring complete medical records, allowing providers to focus on delivering high-quality patient care. The ideal candidate has strong medical terminology knowledge, experience with wound care and procedures, exceptional typing skills, and the ability to work within a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining strict patient confidentiality. Key Responsibilities: - Document patient encounters. - Accurately record patient history, physical examinations, assessments, treatment plans, and provider recommendations. - Enter information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system while maintaining accuracy and completeness. - Review charts for completeness and notify providers of missing documentation when necessary. - Assist providers with locating laboratory results, imaging reports, medication histories, and previous medical records. - Prepare patient charts before appointments by reviewing medical history and outstanding clinical items. - Ensure documentation complies with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies. - Assist with completion of Annual Wellness Visits (AWVs), Transitional Care Management (TCM), Chronic Care Management (CCM), wound care documentation, and Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) documentation as needed. - Communicate professionally with providers, nursing staff, and administrative personnel. - Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
