Writer for a Heartwarming Short Story

We are looking for an original short story that is heartwarming We are looking for heartwarming stories that feature an older main character. Please stay away from politics, death and serious illness. We'd like to limit the characters in the story to no more than 4. We are not interested in work that uses AI in any part of the creation. We want stories crafted with soul. Stories should be between approximately 5500 and 8000 words. Stories should be written simply with short words, sentences, paragraphs and chapters. We are also looking for a simple plot and a simple problem that needs to be solved. Writer will be given the byline. Writer will also retain the copyright. This story will be crafted into a book. Writer has the option to have their bio and a dedication in the book. Writer has the option to be highlighted on our social media pages and in our marketing. The writer will grant the client permission to worldwide rights to publish the work for the next 5 years. The writer will grant permission for passages to be used in our marketing.
