Xero Bookkeeper for Ecommerce Brands

We're looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join our team and help manage the finances of several rapidly growing pet ecommerce brands. This is not a typical bookkeeping role. Our business operates multiple Shopify brands across Australia, the United States, Canada, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. We process a high volume of transactions through Shopify, Stripe, PayPal, Afterpay, and various payment providers, so we're looking for someone who genuinely understands ecommerce accounting—not just general bookkeeping. We focus on building premium consumer brands and are looking for someone who can become a long-term part of the team rather than just another freelancer. Responsibilities Daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping in Xero Bank reconciliations Shopify payout reconciliation Stripe, PayPal, Afterpay, and payment gateway reconciliation Monitoring cash flow and reporting key figures Inventory and COGS tracking assistance Preparing monthly management reports Assisting with BAS preparation and EOFY requirements Acting as the primary liaison between our business and external accountant Responding to accountant requests and ensuring records are kept accurate and up-to-date Identifying discrepancies and solving problems proactively Requirements Strong experience with Xero Proven ecommerce bookkeeping experience Experience reconciling Shopify stores Understanding of Stripe, PayPal, Afterpay, and payment processors Experience working directly with accountants and tax professionals Strong attention to detail Excellent English communication Ability to work independently and take ownership Bonus Points Australian ecommerce experience Inventory management experience Multi-brand business experience Experience with Triple Whale, Cin7, DEAR Inventory, or similar platforms To Apply Please answer the following: Tell us about your ecommerce bookkeeping experience.
