Xero Expert: Fix Miscoded Transfers + Train Me

We are a small Australian company looking for a Xero certified bookkeeper for a short term correction and training engagement. The problem Our previous bookkeeper coded bank transfers from our trading account to the company credit card as GST bearing expenses rather than as transfers between accounts. This has duplicated expenses and over claimed GST credits across several BAS periods. All affected transactions are already reconciled. The work You will be given a complete schedule of the affected transactions, including dates, amounts, current coding and correct treatment. You do not need to find them. Our accountant will sign off the treatment before any changes are made. Your job is to execute the corrections in Xero: Remove and Redo the affected statement lines, then re-reconcile each pair correctly as a transfer, working strictly from the supplied list and making no changes outside it. The training The second half of this engagement is teaching me, the company director, how to work in Xero properly. We will do this over screen share. I want to understand how reconciliation works, how to spot this kind of error myself, how to read the Account Transactions and General Ledger views, and how to sanity check what a bookkeeper is doing. Assume I am starting close to zero. You must have Xero certification Demonstrated Australian bookkeeping experience including GST and BAS Experience correcting reconciled transactions in a live file Clear spoken English and the ability to explain things to a non accountant Availability for screen share sessions with reasonable overlap with Brisbane, Australia time
