Overview I’m the owner of a startup photo and video production business looking for a reliable, organized, and proactive YouTube Channel Manager to help manage, optimize, and grow our YouTube presence. Because we are a startup, this role will begin with a lighter, project-based workload, with the opportunity for responsibilities and compensation to grow as the business and YouTube channel grow. Our content primarily consists of educational, talking-head, tutorial, and behind-the-scenes content related to photography, videography, business, branding, and creative entrepreneurship. Starting compensation will be: $20 per completed long-form YouTube video $5 per completed YouTube Short These rates are for channel management, uploading, optimization, and publishing only. Video editing and thumbnail design are handled separately. The workload will depend on our publishing schedule, so some weeks or months may have more work than others. As our startup and YouTube channel grow, there is potential for increased responsibilities, workload, and compensation for the right person. To Apply Start your proposal with the word “YOUTUBE” so I know you have read the entire job description. Please include: Your previous experience managing YouTube channels Examples or links to channels you've worked with What responsibilities you handled for those channels Any measurable results you've helped achieve Which YouTube tools you regularly use Your experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT or Gemini Also answer the following question: If you were given a completed YouTube video, thumbnail, and topic, what steps would you take before publishing it to give the video the best opportunity to perform? Please do not apply if your primary experience is only video editing or graphic design. I am specifically looking for someone experienced with the management, publishing, optimization, and analytics side of YouTube. Selection Process Applications will be reviewed based on YouTube channel management experience, communication, reliability, attention to detail, and understanding of YouTube optimization. Qualified candidates will move forward to the next step of the selection process, which will be a consultation call. During the call, we’ll discuss your previous experience, approach to YouTube management, workflow expectations, project-based compensation, and overall alignment with the role. This position has the potential to develop into a long-term working relationship as the channel and business grow.
