Empire Vein & Vascular Specialists is looking for a highly creative, detail-oriented YouTube Video Editor to help build Southern California's most trusted educational healthcare YouTube channel. We are not looking for someone who simply cuts clips together. We're looking for someone who understands YouTube psychology, pacing, storytelling, and audience retention—someone who can take ownership of the editing process with minimal direction and transform physician education, patient stories, and medical content into engaging videos that educate, keep viewers watching, and inspire them to take action. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who understands what makes YouTube content successful, brings creative ideas to the table, and consistently delivers polished, high-quality videos that align with our brand and audience. Monthly Scope: We are starting with: 3 Long-Form YouTube Videos per month (approximately 8–15 minutes) Repurpose each long-form video into engaging: YouTube Shorts Instagram Reels TikTok videos This will grow over time as the channel scales. Responsibilities: You'll be responsible for Editing long-form YouTube videos Creating engaging hooks within the first 3 seconds Creating multiple Shorts from each long-form video Designing high-converting YouTube thumbnails Motion graphics and text animations Sound design and background music Color correction and audio cleanup Finding and incorporating B-roll when needed Adding captions and graphics Delivering videos optimized for YouTube We're looking for someone who can identify the most engaging moments from a video—not just trim clips. Ideal Editing Style: We love the editing style of channels like -Doctor Mike -MrBeast (retention and pacing) -Ali Abdaal -Diary of a CEO What We're Looking For You should have experience with: YouTube editing Audience retention Storytelling Thumbnail design Motion graphics Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or DaVinci Resolve After Effects (preferred) Bonus if you have experience editing medical, healthcare, or educational content. Test Project: Shortlisted candidates will be asked to complete a paid test edit using footage from one of our physicians. This will help us evaluate your editing style, storytelling ability, pacing, and creativity before moving forward with a long-term partnership.
