Summary

We are seeking a talented, long-term Video Editor to join our production pipeline for a 52-part historical and philosophical essay series. This is a faceless, script-driven project bridging scripture with ancient philosophy, theology, and modern clinical psychology. We completely reject bright corporate stock, flashy gaming transitions, and "AI slop." We build high-prestige, deeply analytical visual masterpieces. Channel Style Benchmarks: The Bible Stories (@TheBibleStoriesYT), The Pursuit of Wonder, and BibleResolve. Project Scale: 11–13 minute long-form episodes (1 video per week). Compensation: $25 per video + performance/growth bonuses as the channel monetizes. 🎨 Visual & Editorial Requirements: The High-Art Aesthetic: Use moody, high-contrast classical fine art, historical oil paintings, architectural geometry, and cinematic, texturized landscapes. The 3-Second Rule: Rhythmic visual pacing where the frame, asset, or camera angle shifts every 2 to 3 seconds to maximize audience retention. Dynamic Motion Art: Ability to smoothly manipulate static images (subtle parallax, 2.5D mapping, or slow Ken Burns panning) to give ancient art a premium documentary texture. Mobile Typography: Clean, elegant serif typography layouts over darkened moving backgrounds for scriptures, fully optimized for mobile screens. Keep the lower-right corner clear of critical details to avoid the YouTube timecode stamp. Sound Design Mastery: Layering cinematic ambient tracks, using low sub-bass drones for tension, and sweeping orchestral lifts during key analytical climaxes. 🔧 Responsibilities & Qualifications: Edit 1 long-form video per week with flawless consistency. Source high-quality classical artwork and cinematic overlays. Expert mastery of Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut, plus After Effects for text/image animation. High attention to detail regarding audio mixing (balancing music beds with narrative voices). 💼 How to Apply: Please reply with the word "MINI-DOC" at the very top of your application so we know you read the full description. Please include: Links to 1 or 2 relevant portfolio samples demonstrating experience with cinematic essay styles, dark documentary aesthetics, or fine-art texturing. Your current weekly availability.
