YouTube Gaming Video Editor Needed For Time-Sensitive Assassin’s Creed Video Essay
Worldwide
I need an experienced YouTube video editor for a time-sensitive gaming video essay. The video is about Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, the upcoming Black Flag Resynced remake, and Ubisoft’s track record since 2013. I already have the full voiceover, script, B-roll, E3 2013 Ubisoft footage, original Black Flag gameplay, and clips from Unity, Rogue, Origins, Valhalla and Shadows. I do not currently have the Resynced footage downloaded, so I would like the editor to either work from official Ubisoft trailers/preview footage where appropriate, or advise what footage they need me to supply. The edit should feel analytical, cinematic and clean. Not over-edited, not meme-heavy, and not TikTok-style. It needs to support the argument with relevant visuals, good pacing, source/headline callouts where useful, light music, and basic sound design. The core argument is: Black Flag worked because it was focused. Black Flag Resynced looks promising, but modern Ubisoft has to prove it still understands why the original worked. Important visual direction: The original Black Flag sections should feel atmospheric. Use sailing, storms, sea shanties, boarding ships, Edward Kenway, the Jackdaw, forts, the Caribbean and open ocean footage. The Ubisoft/modern bloat sections should be faster and more layered. Use visuals for gear, levels, skill trees, map markers, store items, special editions, deluxe editions, pre-order bonuses, XP boosters, season passes and expansions. Use E3 2013 footage to establish Ubisoft at the time, including Black Flag, Watch Dogs and The Division. Use Unity footage when discussing annualisation and the machine cracking. Use Origins for the RPG-era reset. Use Valhalla for bloat/checklist design. Use Shadows to show Ubisoft still has strong visual/world-building talent. Use official Resynced trailer/preview footage where available when discussing the remake and May preview information. If footage needs to be sourced separately, please advise before editing. Deliverables: * Final edited YouTube-ready video * Project file * Any graphics or assets used * 1080p or 4K export * Basic music and sound mix * Text/source callouts where useful This is time-sensitive because the game releases soon. I need someone who can start immediately and deliver a strong first cut quickly. How I like to work: I will provide the voiceover, script, footage, source links and creative direction upfront. I prefer clear communication and practical updates. Please let me know early if anything is unclear or if a piece of footage is missing. I do not need constant messages, but I do want a clear first-cut timeline before work begins. I am happy for the editor to make creative decisions around pacing, B-roll placement, music, text callouts and transitions, as long as the edit supports the argument of the video. The priority is a clean, well-paced YouTube video essay that feels professional and keeps the viewer engaged without being over-edited. Because this is time-sensitive, reliability and turnaround time are important. Please apply with: 1. Relevant gaming/video essay examples 2. Your turnaround time 3. Your fixed price 4. Editing software used 5. Whether you are comfortable working from supplied B-roll, script and voiceover Knowledge of Assassin’s Creed, Ubisoft games, or gaming video essays is a strong bonus.
