I'm looking for a talented YouTube documentary editor to help build a new channel focused on the world of professional golf. The editing style should closely resemble the pacing, storytelling, and production quality of the Nonstop YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@nonstop) — but focused entirely on golf stories, players, tournaments, rivalries, controversies, records, history, and behind-the-scenes moments. These are not highlight videos. They are engaging documentary-style stories designed to maximize audience retention. What You'll Do I'll provide: The video topic and overall direction The completed voiceover narration You'll be responsible for: Researching and sourcing all necessary video clips (real footage only—no AI-generated video) Finding photos, graphics, and supporting visuals when needed Editing the entire documentary from start to finish Creating engaging pacing that keeps viewers watching Adding motion graphics, zooms, callouts, subtitles, transitions, and visual effects where appropriate Selecting and mixing background music that enhances the story without overpowering the narration Mixing audio so the final product sounds polished and professional Delivering a YouTube-ready video Video Length Most videos will be: - 8–15 minutes long - Occasionally longer if the story benefits from additional depth What I'm Looking For You should: - Have experience editing YouTube documentary or storytelling videos - Understand retention editing and how to keep viewers engaged - Be able to independently source high-quality footage and visuals - Have excellent storytelling instincts - Be detail-oriented - Produce polished, professional work with clean audio and smooth pacing - Communicate frequently throughout the project - Respond quickly to messages - Meet deadlines consistently Bonus Qualifications These are not required but are a huge plus: - Interest in golf or professional sports - Experience editing sports documentaries - Motion graphics experience - Ability to improve the story with your own creative ideas To Apply Please include: - Links to your best YouTube documentary edits. - Tell me which video you're most proud of and why. - What software do you edit with? - Approximately how many hours would it take you to edit a polished 10-minute documentary video? - Write "Fairway" at the beginning of your proposal so I know you've read the entire job posting. - Tell me why you'd be a good fit for this project.
