# Job Title **2D Animator Needed for 10–15 Minute YouTube True Story Videos | Long-Term Work** # Job Description We are looking for a talented and reliable **2D animator** to create long-form YouTube videos for an animated true-story channel. The videos will tell unbelievable real stories in a dramatic, emotional and entertaining way. Each video will usually include three real stories connected by one central topic, such as: * People who survived impossible situations * Criminals caught by small mistakes * People who lived secret double lives * Strange disappearances and survival stories * Unbelievable real events ## Video Format * Length: approximately **10–15 minutes** * Format: **16:9 horizontal YouTube videos** * Resolution: minimum **1920 × 1080** * Style: high-quality **2D cartoon animation** * Tone: dramatic, emotional and fast-paced * Target audience: broad English-speaking YouTube audience We will provide a detailed script and voice-over for each video. Your job will be to turn the script into a complete animated video. ## What You Will Need to Do * Create characters, backgrounds and props in a consistent 2D style * Animate the complete story based on the script and voice-over * Use strong facial expressions and clear character emotions * Add frequent visual changes to keep viewers engaged * Use camera movements, zooms, close-ups and different perspectives * Add text, maps, timelines or simple visual explanations when needed * Synchronize the animation with the narration * Add suitable sound effects, background music and transitions * Make important moments feel dramatic and cinematic * Deliver the final edited video ready to upload to YouTube The animation should not feel like a static slideshow. We do not want videos made only from stock footage, basic AI-generated clips, still images or simple template animations. A reusable character and asset system is welcome, but every scene should still feel relevant to the story being told. ## Visual Style The style should be: * Clean and professional * Expressive and visually engaging * Easy to understand * Suitable for dramatic storytelling * Consistent across multiple videos * Detailed enough to feel high-quality without becoming overly complex The characters do not need to move in full frame-by-frame animation at all times. Rigged 2D animation is acceptable, combined with more detailed animation for important scenes. ## Storytelling Requirements The videos must remain visually interesting throughout the full 10–15 minutes. There should normally be: * A visual change every few seconds * New locations, expressions or camera angles regularly * Strong animation during hooks and major twists * Clear visual storytelling without unnecessary filler * Respectful presentation of serious real events The stories are based on real people and events, so factual details from the script must not be changed or invented. ## Requirements Please apply only if you: * Have experience creating 2D animated YouTube videos * Can maintain a consistent style across long videos * Understand pacing and audience retention * Can follow detailed scripts and scene instructions * Communicate clearly and meet agreed deadlines * Are interested in regular long-term work Experience with animated documentaries, true stories, explainer videos or storytelling channels is a strong advantage.
