YouTube Thumbnail Designer For Top Channel (LegalEagle)
Worldwide
LegalEagle is looking for an exceptional thumbnail designer to create high-performing thumbnails for one of the largest educational and news-focused channels on YouTube (as well as some other channels related to sports and true crime). This is not a generic graphic design position. We are looking for someone who understands YouTube packaging at the highest level and can consistently create thumbnails that drive clicks while accurately representing the content. What You'll Do • Design thumbnails for LegalEagle videos covering law, politics, current events, Supreme Court decisions, criminal trials, government investigations, and other major news stories (as well as thumbnails for several other channels related to golf, true crime, and music). • Develop multiple thumbnail concepts for each video. • Collaborate with our team on title and thumbnail strategy. • Iterate quickly based on performance and feedback. • Stay current with YouTube thumbnail trends and best practices. What We're Looking For • Extensive experience designing YouTube thumbnails. • Strong understanding of YouTube CTR and viewer psychology. • Ability to create clear visual storytelling. • Excellent Photoshop skills. • Ability to work quickly on breaking news stories. • Strong understanding of composition, color, contrast, and visual hierarchy. • Ability to create thumbnails that are compelling without being misleading. Absolutely Required • You must have a portfolio demonstrating successful YouTube thumbnail work. • Please provide examples of thumbnails you personally created. DO NOT SHOW ME THUMBNAILS YOU DID NOT CREATE AND PUBLISH • We are specifically looking for designers, illustrators, photo manipulators, and compositors. AI Policy The use of AI-generated imagery, AI-generated graphic assets, AI-generated photo manipulations, AI-generated illustrations, AI-generated concepts, or AI-generated thumbnail drafts is prohibited. Applicants who use Midjourney, DALL-E, Stable Diffusion, Flux, Photoshop Generative Fill, Firefly, or similar AI image-generation tools in their thumbnail workflow will not be considered. All submitted portfolio work must be created through traditional design, compositing, illustration, photography, and image-editing techniques. We may request layered source files to verify authorship. To Apply Please provide: • A portfolio of YouTube thumbnails you personally created. • Links to channels you've worked with. • A brief explanation of your thumbnail creation process. • Your typical turnaround time for breaking-news thumbnails. • Your preferred rate structure. To confirm that you've read this posting, begin your proposal with the phrase: "I understand the no-AI requirement." This can be a long-term role for the right candidate.
