YouTube Thumbnail Optimization Designer
Worldwide
Summary Dr. Berg Nutritionals is looking for a rockstar YouTube Thumbnail Designer who can do something most designers can’t: pair real design talent with the analytical instinct to know which videos to repackage and why. We are seeking the right person to work through our list of older legacy videos which have not been reviewed yet and are considered backlogged—identifying the ones with the highest re-optimization potential and redesigning their thumbnails to lift click-through rate (CTR). Dr. Berg has created a thriving YouTube channel, accumulating almost 15 million subscribers to date. He summarizes complex body functions into easy-to-understand concepts and offers practical health solutions. Job Details: * Check Dr. Berg's videos to determine which ones need new thumbnails using YouTube Analytics, search tools (Google Trends, YouTube autocomplete, Studio Research tab), and research on competitor thumbnails to decide where to focus. * Look at our best-performing thumbnails and strong competitor thumbnails. Use what you learn to guide the new designs. * Design new thumbnails that follow our brand rules: high contrast, eye-catching, easy to read even when small, emotionally engaging, and made to get clicks. * Use AI image tools together with regular design software to create ideas and finish on-brand thumbnails. * For each new thumbnail, give a short explanation: what the data showed, what you changed, and what result you expect. * Track the click-through rate (CTR) before and after each thumbnail change. If a thumbnail performs worse, adjust your approach. * Talk with the Manager about which thumbnails to prioritize. Talk with the team about timing for changes. Get approval before publishing any change. * After finishing the older video thumbnails, keep helping produce thumbnails for the channel on an ongoing basis. We ask that you provide your portfolio of design work and thumbnails you have created along with your proposal so we can review with our team. As part of the selection process, you’ll complete a short, paid design test so we can see your thumbnail work and AI-generation workflow firsthand.
