Summary

I run a growing YouTube channel called AnimaxionX (currently at 965 subscribers). We specialize in high-quality cinematic anime edits, crossover mashups, and anime commentary. Our content heavily features popular shonen series like Dragon Ball Z, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, and Teen Titans. I am looking for a skilled video editor and YouTube strategist to help scale the channel. The Role: I need an experienced YouTube editor and channel manager who understands the anime edit and commentary niche. You will edit weekly long-form videos, clip them into weekday Shorts, design click-worthy thumbnails, and manage our backend upload/Airtable workflow. Weekly Content Requirements. * 1 Long-Form Video: Uploaded every Monday at 6:00 PM EST. * 5 YouTube Shorts: Cut directly from that Monday video and posted Monday–Friday (1 per weekday at 6:00 PM EST). No weekend posts. (We are open to your suggestions on schedule adjustments or content pacing, but this weekly batch-and-clip rhythm is our core baseline). What You’ll Be Doing: * Video Editing & Clipping: * Editing 1 long-form anime. .m.commentary/cinematic edit per week (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut). * Finding the best hook points and high-retention moments from the Monday video and formatting them into 5 vertical Shorts. * Pipeline Management: Keeping our content tracker completely up to date in Airtable. * Thumbnail Design: Designing eye-catching, high-contrast thumbnails (Photoshop/Canva) optimized for high Click-Through Rate (CTR). * SEO & Scheduling: Writing optimized titles, descriptions, and tags (using vidIQ) and scheduling all uploads for 6:00 PM EST. * Community Engagement: Pinning comments, interacting with viewers, and posting community updates. Ideal Skills & Experience: * Proven track record editing anime commentary, crossover battles, or anime edits (portfolio required). * Strong eye for pacing and finding high-hook moments in long-form footage to convert into high-retention Shorts. * Strong understanding of YouTube SEO, retention curves, and copyright/fair use best practices for anime footage. * Comfortable using (or quick to learn) Airtable for workflow tracking. * Deep knowledge of anime fandoms, trends, and iconic series. * Reliable, deadline-driven, and communicative. To Apply, Please Include: * Portfolio links to anime commentary/edits you’ve edited (bonus if you show a long-form video alongside the Shorts clipped from it) * A brief overview of your editing process and how you identify the best clips for Shorts. * Your experience with Airtable or similar project trackers.
