We're building a content engine focused on high-quality educational videos for adults age 55+ who are preparing for retirement or already retired. What We're Looking For We are seeking a long-form YouTube editor who can take raw talking-head footage and turn it into engaging, professional educational videos. These are NOT flashy, MrBeast-style videos. The goal is clarity, trust, retention, and professionalism. Our audience is primarily adults age 55+. Videos are typically 5–15 minutes in length. Style Think: * Clear and professional * Modern but not trendy * Educational * Trustworthy * Easy to follow * Clean graphics * Strong pacing Examples: * Financial education channels * Thought leadership content * Ryan Holiday style simplicity * High-quality business and educational YouTube channels Editing Responsibilities --Core Editing * Remove mistakes, pauses, and filler words * Improve pacing and flow * Add professional transitions where appropriate * Tighten content while preserving authenticity -- Visual Enhancements * Add titles and section headers * Add occasional callouts and key takeaways * Add simple motion graphics when helpful * Add B-roll when it improves understanding * Add charts, graphics, and visual examples when needed --Branding * Maintain a consistent visual style * Follow our branding guidelines * Create videos that feel like part of the same content system --Deliverables * Final YouTube video * Thumbnail recommendations (optional) * Short list of suggested clips for social media (bonus) What Success Looks Like --The viewer should feel: * This is clear * This is professional * This is trustworthy * This is worth watching until the end Our goal is not entertainment.
