YouTube Video Editor Needed – Long-Form Travel Documentaries (Long-Term)

We’re looking for an experienced, intermediate-level video editor to help produce weekly, long-form travel documentaries for a growing YouTube channel. Our content focuses on cinematic storytelling, heritage, culture, and solo female travel. Videos range from 7 to 15 minutes (averaging around 10 minutes) and are published weekly. This is a 3 to 6-month contract with the potential for long-term extension. Our Content Pipeline & Workflow: To help you succeed, we maintain a highly organized pipeline. You will receive materials 3 to 4 weeks before the video release date. For every project, you will be provided with: - A clear outline of the video structure (Intro, Body Segments, Ending). - Meticulously organized folders for each segment containing relevant A-roll, B-roll, and Voiceover clips. - Reference links to prior videos for brand aesthetic, alongside external YouTube creator examples for creative inspiration. What We’re Looking For: - Substantial experience editing long-form YouTube content with a focus on narrative flow and pacing. - Strong communication skills and absolute reliability with a weekly deadline. - An eye for travel/lifestyle aesthetics, color grading, and clean audio balancing. - No Automated AI Editing: We are looking for authentic, human-edited cinematic storytelling. The use of automated AI video generators, AI voiceovers, or generic AI-generated B-roll/captions is strictly prohibited. Hiring Process & Paid Trial: If your portfolio fits our style, you will be invited to complete a short, paid trial assignment. You will be provided with a few raw clips to edit down into a 30 to 45-second sample so we can test workflow compatibility and style alignment. Content Ownership & Confidentiality Notice: All raw footage, audio, assets, and the final edited products provided to you or created during this contract are the exclusive property of Kita the Explorer LLC. This material is strictly confidential and must not be shared externally, uploaded, or used in any personal portfolios, websites, or showreels. Once a video is officially published on YouTube, you are welcome to use the public YouTube link to showcase your work in your portfolio.
