YouTube Video Editor for Little Lights Kids Show **Green Screen Editing | Motion Graphics | Christian Preschool YouTube Content** Little Lights is looking for a skilled YouTube video editor who is experienced in creating high-quality kids’ content for preschool-aged children. Our videos are a mix of real-life hosting, green screen scenes, colorful backgrounds, animated/cartoon elements, animals, songs, Bible teaching, preschool learning, and playful motion graphics. The footage will come **pre-cut and placed in order**, so the main job is bringing the episode to life visually. --About Little Lights Little Lights is a Christian children’s show that creates safe, wholesome, gospel-centered content for toddlers and preschoolers. Our videos include songs, Bible lessons, Scripture, prayer, preschool learning, pretend play, animals, and fun educational moments. The goal of Little Lights is to help young children learn about Jesus, the Bible, God’s world, and early preschool skills in a warm, engaging, age-appropriate way. --About the Role This role is primarily focused on editing green screen children’s videos where the host appears on screen, with cartoon-style graphics, motion elements, backgrounds, animals, images, props, music, sound effects, and visual learning aids added around the host. Most assets will be provided, including music, images, graphics, animal clips, backgrounds, and other visual elements. The editor will need to arrange, animate, layer, and time these assets in a way that feels engaging, polished, age-appropriate, and consistent with the Little Lights style. We currently use **Adobe Premiere Pro** for editing, so experience with Premiere Pro is strongly preferred. The editor will also have access to a content website, Freepik, to find and download additional assets as needed. They should be able to choose assets that match the Little Lights visual style and use them thoughtfully without making scenes feel cluttered or overstimulating. --Pacing & Visual Style Little Lights has a slower-paced, gentle style compared to many fast-cut children’s videos. The goal is to keep the visuals engaging without relying on constant movement, big flashes, quick cuts, or overwhelming attention-grabbers. Graphics and animations should generally stay on screen for a minimum of 5 seconds so children have time to notice, process, and enjoy what they are seeing. Visuals should support the teaching, song, or moment on screen rather than distract from it. The editor should avoid overly busy scenes, rapid flashing effects, constant pop-ups, and chaotic animation. We want the videos to feel bright, playful, and imaginative while still being calm, clear, and easy for young children to follow. -- Style References For style reference, applicants can look up **Ms. Rachel** videos and **Little Lights** videos on YouTube to better understand the general format of real-life hosting combined with graphics, songs, preschool learning, and child-friendly pacing. These references are meant to help applicants understand the style, audience, pacing, and editing approach. The goal is not to copy another creator directly, but to create polished, original Little Lights episodes that fit our brand and mission. --Responsibilities * Edit green screen footage into finished YouTube episodes. * Work within a Premiere Pro editing workflow. * Add provided backgrounds, images, animals, music, sound effects, and visual assets. * Use Freepik to find and download additional assets when needed. * Choose assets that fit the Little Lights brand, tone, and visual style. * Place graphics and animated elements around the host in a clean, kid-friendly way. * Use motion graphics to support songs, learning moments, Bible lessons, counting, letters, animals, and pretend play scenes. * Keep graphics and animations on screen long enough for young children to process, generally a minimum of 5 seconds. * Create a bright, engaging, but not overly chaotic visual style for toddlers and preschoolers. * Avoid overly fast cuts, big flashes, constant pop-ups, and aggressive attention-grabbing effects. * Key green screen footage cleanly and make the host look natural in each scene. * Add simple animations, pop-ups, text, transitions, sparkles, movement, and playful visual moments where needed. * Follow the episode structure and timing that is already provided. * Match the tone of safe, wholesome, preschool-friendly Christian YouTube content. * Respect and preserve the biblical message, wording, and worldview of the content. * Deliver organized project files and final exports. -- Ideal Candidate The ideal editor is creative, detail-oriented, and understands the pacing and style of children’s educational YouTube videos. You should be comfortable editing content where a real host is surrounded by animated, cartoon, and motion graphic elements. You should understand how to make a video visually fun for young children without making it too overstimulating or cluttered. A strong candidate will also be comfortable working with Christian children’s content and will understand that the biblical message is central to the show. --Requirements * Strong experience with green screen editing and clean keying. * Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro. * Experience editing YouTube videos, preferably children’s content, preschool content, educational content, or music-based content. * Strong understanding of motion graphics and visual storytelling. * Ability to work with provided assets and arrange them creatively. * Ability to source additional assets from Freepik when needed. * Comfortable adding animated/cartoon-style elements around a real-life host. * Good sense of slower-paced editing for toddlers and preschoolers. * Ability to create engaging visuals without making the episode feel overly busy, flashy, or chaotic. * Ability to follow brand style and creative direction. * Comfortable working with Christian content, biblical teaching, songs about Jesus, Scripture, prayer, and a biblical worldview. * Willingness to preserve and support the faith-based message of the content without changing, softening, or avoiding it. * Strong attention to detail. * Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines. --Preferred Skills * Strong experience with Premiere Pro. * Experience with After Effects or similar motion graphics tools is a plus. * Experience editing green screen kids’ shows, YouTube preschool videos, music videos, Sunday school videos, or educational content. * Experience editing Christian, church, Bible, Sunday school, or faith-based content. * Ability to create simple animations when needed. * Ability to make scenes feel full and imaginative without being too busy. * Understanding of low-stimulation or gentle kids’ content is a plus. * Christian faith background is preferred, but not required. --What Will Be Provided * Pre-cut host footage in order. * Premiere Pro project files or editing materials when applicable. * Music and songs. * Backgrounds. * Images and graphics. * Animals and visual assets. * Episode outline or direction. * Brand style guidance. * Biblical teaching content and approved wording. * Access to Freepik for sourcing additional assets as needed. --What You Will Deliver * Fully edited YouTube episode. * Clean green screen compositing. * Added backgrounds, graphics, music, and motion elements. * Final exported video file. * Organized project files if requested. *****Faith-Based Content Requirement***** Little Lights is Christian children’s content. Our videos include biblical teaching, songs about Jesus, Scripture, prayer, Christian theology, and a biblical worldview. The editor does not need to be a Christian, though a Christian editor is preferred. However, the applicant must be fully comfortable working on Christian faith-based content and must be respectful of the message, tone, and theology of the show. This role is not a fit for someone who would be uncomfortable with biblical concepts, teaching about Jesus, Scripture-based lessons, prayer, or a Christian worldview. The editor should not try to change, soften, remove, or shy away from the biblical content, but should instead help present it clearly, beautifully, and in a way that supports the mission of Little Lights.
