YouTube Video Editor for Business Documentary Channel | Paid Sample + Ongoing Work
Worldwide
Looking for a YouTube video editor for a faceless business documentary channel covering company stories, brand mistakes, business case studies and rise and fall stories. This project is a business documentary about the Xbox One reveal, Microsoft’s public messaging, the backlash, the reversal and the wider effect on Xbox’s position against PlayStation. This is a voiceover led long form YouTube edit. The video needs to feel serious, clear, documentary led and business focused. It is not a gaming montage, meme edit, Shorts/Reels job or generic stock footage slideshow. The opening matters heavily. The first 60 to 90 seconds must establish the stakes quickly using strong story specific visuals, clean pacing, readable text/callouts and a serious documentary tone. The main tone reference is a calm, high-stakes business documentary style similar to CoreSight’s Jaguar business case study: evidence led, premium, restrained and clear. The Xbox topic references are for structure only: reveal, backlash, Sony contrast, reversal and sales-gap payoff. We do not want a gamer essay, meme edit or console war tone. Reference videos will be supplied after initial screening. They are for tone, structure and quality bar only. They are not asset sources and must not be copied. This role starts with a paid 60 to 90 second sample at $30. The sample is to check style, pacing, communication and source discipline before moving into the full current video. If the sample is strong, we will move to the full video edit. If the first full video goes well, there is potential for up to 10 videos, paid per video, with a total starting package value of up to $600. We are looking for someone who wants ongoing work and can grow with the project, but each stage is approved based on quality, communication and reliability. What we need Long form YouTube editing experience. Documentary or explainer pacing. Strong opening and hook editing. Clean use of screenshots, callouts, charts, timelines and simple motion graphics. Ability to make numbers and business stakes clear on screen. Good judgement with music and sound effects. Safe asset sourcing. Willingness to keep a simple asset log. Ability to follow a detailed brief. Clear communication in English. What this is not: Not a gaming montage. Not a meme edit. Not a Shorts/Reels job. Not a generic stock footage slideshow. Not a console war fan video. Not a role for someone who uses any footage and simply says “fair use”. We will provide -Editor brief. -Sourcing rules. -Reference pack. -Visual style guidance. -Script/voiceover section for the paid sample. -Clear review criteria. To apply, please include Two or three links to long form YouTube videos you personally edited. A short explanation of what you did on each example. Your turnaround time for a 60 to 90 second paid sample. Your turnaround time for a 10 to 15 minute YouTube documentary edit. A short note on how you source footage safely and keep track of assets. The phrase “Decoded sample understood” at the top of your reply so I know you read the full post.
