YouTube Video Editor for Filmmaking Education Channel

Hi! I’m looking for a part-time video editor to join our small team and help create content for my YouTube channel where I teach narrative filmmaking. This role will primarily help with: • Long-form YouTube videos (talking head / filmmaking education content) • Occasional short-form content (IG reels/YT shorts) • Organizing footage and project files • Basic YouTube workflow support (eventually) One of the biggest goals for this role is finding someone who has experience with long-form YouTube editing and understands how to keep educational content engaging through pacing, storytelling, structure, and retention. This role will begin with a paid test task to make sure we’re a good fit. From there, you’ll start with simpler editing projects and gradually take on more creative responsibility over time. Requirements: • Must use Adobe Premiere Pro • Experience editing long-form YouTube content (required) • Strong organization skills (we exchange Premiere project files) • Good English (for subtitles/titles) • Strong sense of pacing and storytelling • Experience with educational or talking-head content preferred • Motion graphics is a plus • Interest in filmmaking/cinema is a big plus Style: Clean, polished, story-driven edits. Mostly educational filmmaking content with an emphasis on keeping videos engaging without feeling overly flashy or over-edited. Most videos are approximately 8–15 minutes long and cover topics like: • Narrative filmmaking • Short films & directing • Film breakdowns • Behind-the-scenes lessons • Freelancing/career advice for filmmakers I’m ideally looking for someone reliable, organized, and excited to grow alongside the channel long-term.
