YouTube Video Editor for Movie Breakdowns, Easter Eggs & Film Commentary

We are looking for a creative YouTube video editor to produce entertaining videos about movies, animated films, Easter eggs, hidden details, and behind-the-scenes facts. Each video will usually be approximately 10–12 minutes long. The distinctive element of the channel is that an original illustrated character acts as the visual host and narrator. There will be no traditional presenter on camera. Instead, the character should appear throughout the video to explain information, react to scenes, deliver jokes, and guide the audience through each section. The voice-over represents this character’s voice. WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE For every video, we will provide: - A completed script. - The finished voice-over. - A folder containing the channel character in different poses and expressions. - Relevant movie footage or source guidance. - Feedback and clear revision notes. You will not need to write the script or record the narration. THE CHARACTER AS THE VISUAL PRESENTER The channel character is an essential part of the format, not just a logo placed in the corner. The editor should use the character to: - Introduce topics and numbered sections. - Visually explain the information in the voice-over. - React to movie clips and surprising facts. - Deliver visual jokes and comedic reactions. - Point toward Easter eggs, quotations, and important details. - Appear alongside screenshots, photographs, and concept art. - Create transitions between sections. - Help maintain visual continuity throughout the video. - Represent the narrator whenever a human presenter would normally be shown. The character does not need to remain permanently on screen. It should appear whenever it adds personality, clarity, humor, or visual variety. We will provide a library of existing poses, but the editor will also have creative freedom to: - Combine existing character elements. - Flip, crop, or reframe poses. - Change facial expressions when possible. - Add simple arm, eye, mouth, or body movement. - Create additional poses based on the original design. - Make the character interact with text, photographs, or movie elements. - Create simple props or accessories for specific jokes. Any new poses must remain visually consistent with the original character. Newly created poses and editable source files must be included with the final project so they can be reused in future videos. We like the use of a recurring visual host, movie footage, explanations, facts, and reactions. However, both examples can be relatively simple in certain sections. We will strongly value editors who can improve this format through: - More expressive use of the channel character. - Better comedic timing. - Stronger visual storytelling. - More polished motion graphics. - Better integration between the character and movie footage. - Creative transitions between facts or sections. - More varied framing and composition. - Clearer visual explanations of hidden details. - Better use of sound design. - Stronger retention editing without making the video exhausting. The final result must be original. We do not want an exact recreation of another channel’s editing, graphics, or branding.
