YouTube Video Editor for Sci-Fi Channel

Seeking a skilled video editor to edit our science fiction and technology YouTube channel videos. Responsibilities include editing engaging videos, adding effects, and ensuring high-quality output. The ideal candidate will have experience with YouTube video editing and a passion for science fiction and technology themes. Each video is an 8–10 minute science fiction technology and human implications themed video in the style of Real Engineering or Wendover Productions. We're in a testing phase — launching 10 videos over 5–6 weeks — and looking for one editor to own the production. **What we provide per video:** - Completed voiceover track - Timestamped markup (Tier 1 = detailed direction, Tier 2 = general guidance) - Free stock footage sources (Pexels, NASA, ESA) **What you deliver:** - Full edit cut to VO - Text overlays + basic animated diagrams (templates are fine) - Hook gets premium treatment — this is the #1 priority - Clean and professional everywhere else — doesn't need to be perfect - Music sourced from your existing subscriptions or free libraries - 1080p H.264, YouTube-ready - 3 business day turnaround per video
