YouTube Video editor for Multi-Cam Live DJ Sets
Worldwide
Job Overview: We are looking for a skilled video editor to join our team at Mindless Entertainment TV. We specialize in high-energy live DJ sets and are seeking someone who can take raw, multi-cam footage and turn it into professional, engaging content for our YouTube channel. The Project: We film 7-hour events featuring multiple DJ sets. Each individual set typically runs between 60 to 105 minutes. We record using a two-camera setup (Front and Back angles). Your Responsibilities: - Multi-Cam Syncing: Synchronize footage from two camera angles and the DJ’s audio feed. - Dynamic Cutting: Edit the sets to keep the viewer engaged. This means switching between the "Front" (DJ focus) and "Back" (Crowd/Vibe focus) angles at appropriate times, following the rhythm and energy of the music. - Color Correction & Grading: Match the two camera angles for a consistent look. Fix exposure issues caused by low-light venue conditions and apply a professional grade that makes the footage pop while maintaining a cinematic, high-energy nightlife vibe. - Audio Balancing: Ensure the audio is crisp, balanced, and synced perfectly with the video. - Workflow: You will be provided with raw files (approx. 8 hours of total event footage). You will be responsible for breaking these down into individual DJ set videos. Attention to Detail: Maintain high quality throughout long-form videos without losing pace. Requirements: Proven experience in multi-cam editing (Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve preferred). A strong sense of rhythm—this is crucial for DJ sets. You should know when to cut on the beat or a drop. Experience handling long-form content (60min+ videos). Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Bonus: Experience editing music events, festivals, or nightlife content. To Apply: Please submit: A brief cover letter explaining your experience with multi-cam editing. Examples of your work: Please link to 1–2 examples of long-form multi-cam projects you have edited (DJ sets or live performances are preferred). Your typical turnaround time for a 60–90 minute DJ set edit. Examples: https://youtu.be/Vcjce8dn68U?si=m_j9x1_F4OxP0VcW https://youtu.be/ZSKqBo_eECk?si=ksV8tqDTBgNJZ0vf
