YouTube Video Editor (Long-Term) – Travel & Japan Content About the Channel I’m the creator of, a growing YouTube channel focused on Japan travel, food, culture, and walking experiences. I’m looking for a reliable video editor for a long-term working relationship. My goal is simple: create videos that keep viewers watching longer and help grow the channel. What You’ll Edit * Long-form YouTube videos (typically 10–20 minutes) * Walking tours * Food videos * Japan travel content * Occasionally talking-head segments Responsibilities * Create engaging edits with strong pacing * Remove unnecessary pauses and dead space * Add royalty-free background music when appropriate * Add sound effects where they improve the viewing experience * Create clean subtitles/captions * Basic color correction * Basic audio cleanup and leveling * Add simple zooms, transitions, and motion graphics when they enhance the story * Deliver high-quality exports on schedule What I’m Looking For * Experience editing YouTube videos * Strong understanding of viewer retention and pacing * Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro * Good English communication * Reliable and responsive * Able to accept feedback and continuously improve Nice to Have * Experience editing travel or food content * Understanding of YouTube analytics and audience retention * Ability to suggest improvements to make videos more engaging * Experience creating shorts from long-form content Trial Project This position begins with one paid trial video. If we’re a good fit, I’d like to build a long-term working relationship with regular editing work.
