Youtube Video Editor - True Crime Niche

We're looking for a talented long-form YouTube video editor to join our growing team. We produce documentary-style true crime videos and are looking for someone who understands YouTube retention and can create engaging, suspenseful edits that keep viewers watching. You'll be editing 1–2 videos per week, with each video being approximately 20 minutes long. We will provide the completed script (including detailed editing notes) and professional voiceover. Your role is to bring the story to life through strong visual storytelling, pacing, sound design, and editing. Requirements * Fluent in English. * Proficient with professional editing software (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or equivalent). * Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, pacing, and audience retention. * Excellent use of background music, sound effects, B-roll, and visual storytelling to build suspense. * Ability to source and use only copyright-safe assets. * Ensure all videos comply with YouTube's copyright and monetization policies. * Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines. * Looking for a long-term working relationship. What We're Looking For You should have a natural instinct for what makes viewers keep watching. We're looking for someone who understands when to let moments breathe, when to increase tension, and how to use visuals, music, and sound design to enhance the story without overediting. This is a long-term position. Editors who consistently deliver high-quality work, communicate well, and meet deadlines will be rewarded with performance bonuses and pay increases over time.
