Youtube Video Editor

Summary

I've built my YouTube channel up to around 4,000 subscribers. I recently took down all of my videos and I'm looking to take the channel in a different direction. Previously I did all my own editing, but I've found it's too time consuming — and honestly, I don't enjoy it haha. I'm looking for an editor to help craft something I'm genuinely proud of. If we jive, this could be a recurring partnership. The basics: 1 video per month to start Video lengths will vary, anywhere from 5–20 minutes You'll be working with raw footage I provide (no rough cut from my end) Preferred delivery format: MP4, 1080p minimum Software: open to whatever you work best in, as long as the output is clean The vibe: I want the channel to be fun, introspective, and reflective of my human experience. Think light conversations in the spirit of The Midnight Gospel — exploring ideas without making people anxious about them. Even when I'm being serious, I want the tone to stay warm and a little irreverent. Channels I get inspired by — and what I think about them: @crumahoney — love his videography, but sometimes he takes life too seriously for me @emmachamberlain — love how real she is @Italianbach — funny, not too serious, good energy @fonzian — like his style, but the tempo can be a bit slow for me I want to joke around. I want to be made fun of in my videos. I really don't want them to feel heavy — even when the subject matter is. What the channel is about: Think iCarly — made up of my actual life. Movies I recently watched, books I read, life events I want to share. It'll also include me publicly tracking personal goals as part of a community I'm building. I want to walk the talk, show the journey, and be a real participant rather than just a talking head. My videos have always been raw — I've talked about family trauma, moving to a new country, my emotions. My audience connects with that authenticity and I want to keep it. What I want to evolve is the polish. My previous editing was minimal because I wasn't great at it, and it showed. I want to create something people actually want to tune into — engaging, funny, real, but more intentional about what it's offering the viewer. Budget: $150 USD per month (that's my max I want to be spending on the video, but this will obviously change depending on the video length, and monetization factors) To apply: Tell me one YouTube channel you think nails the tone I've described above. Also, if you currently edit for any YouTubers, let me know their channel so I can check out your style. Shortlisted candidates will have a quick intro call before anything is agreed, and I'll likely ask for a small paid sample edit so we can both see if the fit is right before committing to an ongoing arrangement.
