Job Title Full-Stack Developer (AI-Powered) — Rebuild Zoningo Music Distribution Platform from Scratch Job Overview We are rebuilding Zoningo, a music distribution platform, completely from the ground up. The existing site is being scrapped entirely. We need a skilled, AI-forward developer or small team to architect and deliver a modern, full-featured platform that competes directly with DistroKid, TuneCore, and CD Baby — with a clean, intuitive UI and a robust backend powered by the Revelator API for actual song distribution and delivery. This is a serious, well-scoped project with a real product vision. We are looking for someone who builds fast and smart using the latest AI development tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, v0.dev, or equivalent), not someone who codes everything by hand at a slow pace. Speed, quality, and modern architecture are all equally important here. Revelator API credentials will be provided by the client. The developer is responsible for integrating them correctly and building all platform features around that distribution backbone. What We’re Building Zoningo will be a full-service music distribution platform that allows independent artists and labels to distribute their music to all major streaming stores and digital retailers worldwide. Below is the complete feature set required at launch. Core Distribution Features Music distribution to all major stores — Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music, Tidal, Deezer, Pandora, and more — powered by the Revelator API Release management for singles, EPs, and full albums UPC/ISRC code generation and management Release scheduling and pre-save support Cover art upload and compliance checking Metadata management (title, genre, language, explicit content flags, credits) Analytics & Reporting Real-time streaming stats dashboard (streams, saves, playlist adds, listener demographics) Trends and performance analytics across platforms Revenue and royalty reporting by store, territory, and time period Downloadable earnings reports Royalty & Payment Management Royalty tracking and automated splits between collaborators Configurable royalty split agreements per release Payment management dashboard (balance, history, payout methods) Early/advance payout request functionality Support for multiple payout methods (PayPal, bank transfer,Zelle, Bitcoin, USDT, USDC etc.) Artist & Label Tools Artist profile creation and management Team and label management (multi-user accounts with role-based permissions) Label dashboard for managing multiple artists under one account Collaboration and co-writer credit management Content Monetization YouTube Content ID registration and management Social media integration (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook audio delivery where applicable) Sync licensing submission tools (nice-to-have) Platform & UX Clean, modern UI/UX inspired by DistroKid’s simplicity — fast, intuitive, no clutter Fully responsive and mobile-friendly design User onboarding flow (artist registration, plan selection, profile setup) Subscription/pricing plan management Notification system (release status updates, payment alerts, store delivery confirmations) Help center / FAQ section Technical Requirements Requirement Details Frontend React or Next.js (preferred), TypeScript, TailwindCSS or equivalent Backend Node.js / Next.js API routes, or a dedicated backend (NestJS, Express) Database PostgreSQL or MySQL with a clean relational schema API Integration Revelator API (credentials provided by client) Authentication Secure auth system (NextAuth, Clerk, or custom JWT) File Storage S3-compatible storage for audio files and cover art Payments Stripe integration for subscription billing and payouts AI Development Must use AI-assisted development tools (Cursor, Copilot, v0.dev, etc.) Architecture Scalable, modular, production-ready — not a prototype Deployment Vercel, Railway, AWS, or similar cloud platform Version Control GitHub repository with clean commit history We are not looking for someone who will hand-code everything from scratch at a slow pace. We expect AI-accelerated development to be a core part of your workflow. If you are not actively using Cursor, Copilot, v0, or similar tools daily, this is not the right project for you. Deliverables 1. Complete, fully functional Zoningo platform deployed to a staging environment 2. Full source code in a private GitHub repository (client owns all IP) 3. Revelator API integration — distribution, metadata submission, and reporting endpoints all working 4. Admin dashboard for platform management 5. Documentation covering architecture, API integration, and deployment process 6. 30-day post-launch bug fix support Ideal Candidate Profile We are looking for a developer or small team (2–3 people max) who meets the following criteria: Must-Haves Proven experience building SaaS platforms — portfolio or live examples required Strong full-stack skills in React/Next.js and Node.js Experience with third-party API integrations (music, payments, or media platforms a strong plus) Actively uses AI development tools (Cursor, Copilot, v0, etc.) as a core part of workflow Strong UI/UX sensibility — you understand what “clean and simple” actually means in practice Experience with Stripe or similar payment/subscription systems Ability to work independently with minimal hand-holding Strong Pluses Prior experience with music tech, streaming, or media distribution platforms Familiarity with the Revelator API or similar music distribution APIs Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms (label/artist hierarchy) Background in royalty accounting or music industry workflows Soft Skills Clear, proactive communicator — we want weekly updates and no surprises Detail-oriented — music metadata and royalty accuracy are non-negotiable Honest about timelines — we prefer realistic estimates over optimistic ones Project Timeline We expect this project to be completed within 10–14 weeks from kickoff, broken into the following phases: Phase Scope Duration Phase 1 — Architecture & Setup Tech stack setup, database schema, auth system, Revelator API connection Weeks 1–2 Phase 2 — Core Distribution Flow Release upload, metadata, store delivery via Revelator, UPC/ISRC generation Weeks 3–5 Phase 3 — Dashboard & Analytics Streaming stats, royalty tracking, earnings reports, real-time data Weeks 6–8 Phase 4 — Payments & Splits Stripe billing, royalty splits, payout requests, payment history Weeks 8–9 Phase 5 — Artist & Label Tools Profiles, team management, YouTube Content ID, social integrations Weeks 9–11 Phase 6 — UI Polish & QA Full responsive design pass, cross-browser testing, performance optimization Weeks 11–13 Phase 7 — Launch & Handoff Staging → production deployment, documentation, 30-day support window Weeks 13–14 Milestones and partial payments will be tied to each phase completion. Budget We are open to proposals from experienced AI developers. Please include your fixed-price or milestone-based bid in your application. We will pay more for the right team that can deliver fast and clean. How to Apply To be considered, your application must include the following. Applications missing any of these will not be reviewed. 1. Portfolio links — live SaaS products or platforms you have built (not mockups or concept work) 2. Brief description of your AI development workflow — which tools you use and how 3. Your proposed tech stack for this project and why 4. Timeline estimate broken into phases 5. Fixed-price bid with milestone breakdown 6. One paragraph explaining why you are the right fit for a music distribution platform specifically We will respond to shortlisted applicants within 48 hours for a discovery call. Final Notes Zoningo is being built to compete at the highest level in the independent music distribution space. We are not looking for an MVP that “kind of works” — we want a polished, production- grade platform that artists will trust with their music and their money. If you take pride in building things that are genuinely excellent, we want to hear from you. Only apply if you are ready to start within 1–2 days of contract signing.
