PR and Media Outreach Specialist

We are looking for a reliable, sharp, and proactive PR Generalist to partner with us on an ongoing, weekly basis. We need a steady pair of hands focused on execution and handling regular PR maintenance, media outreach, and misc. tasks. This is a hands-on, relationship-driven role: you’ll build media relationships, pitch stories, secure coverage, and help create and update internal resources. This is an ongoing engagement, initially part-time, with potential to expand based on results. What you’ll do -Media relations: Crafting, tailoring, and sending pitches to targeted journalists and editors -Media monitoring & tracking: Keeping tabs on industry news, monitoring for brand mentions, and identifying rapid-response commentary opportunities -Content support: Drafting press releases, media alerts, founder bios, or talking points as needed. -Admin & reporting: Maintaining updated media lists and tracking coverage About you -Proven experience as a PR generalist, media relations specialist, or publicist -An active, existing network of media contacts (and the ability to build new lists quickly) -Exceptional writing skills—your pitches must be concise, punchy, and hook-driven -Reliable weekly availability and ultra-responsive communication -Ability to operate independently and execute efficiently
