E-commerce UX/UI Designer

Summary ## The Role We're hiring a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our design team on a full-time, long-term basis. You'll own the end-to-end design of custom e-commerce experiences for demanding premium brands ; from UX strategy and wireframing to pixel-perfect high-fidelity mockups in Figma. You'll design bespoke Shopify storefronts where the quality bar is set by luxury and fashion clients who notice every misaligned pixel and every awkward transition. --- ## What You'll Do Custom E-Commerce Interface Design - Analyze client briefs, business objectives, and technical constraints to define the right UX/UI direction - Design wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups in Figma - Craft user journeys optimized for conversion: homepage, collection pages, product pages, checkout, customer accounts - Translate brand identities into cohesive, impactful digital interfaces Figma Deliverables & Design Systems - Structure Figma files rigorously: named layers, logical page hierarchy, clean frame organization - Build and maintain reusable components, variants, and auto-layouts for scalability - Document design specs (spacing, typography, colors, interactions) to streamline developer handoff - Create and evolve design systems that remain consistent as projects grow Cross-Team Collaboration - Work closely with front-end developers to anticipate technical constraints (Shopify/Liquid, responsive behavior, performance) - Participate in project kick-offs and regular progress check-ins - Adjust designs based on technical feedback and user testing - Review front-end implementations and ensure design fidelity Multi-Project Management - Handle 5-8 projects in parallel without compromising quality - Manage your own schedule and priorities autonomously - Communicate proactively on progress, blockers, and validation needs Client Satisfaction - Present and defend design decisions to clients (alongside the Project Manager) - Integrate client feedback constructively and iterate quickly - Proactively suggest UX/UI improvements grounded in e-commerce best practices and available data --- ## Must-Have Skills - Figma: Advanced proficiency ; UI design, interactive prototyping, auto-layout, components & variants, variables, design systems, spec documentation, complex multi-page file organization - UX Design: User journey mapping, wireframing, information architecture, content hierarchy, web & mobile ergonomics - UI Design: Visual composition, grid systems & spacing, web typography, color theory, micro-interactions, responsive design (mobile-first) - Design Systems: Creation and maintenance of scalable systems, component documentation, token & variable management - E-Commerce Design: Product pages, collection pages, checkout flows, customer accounts, conversion funnel optimization, CRO applied to design ## Nice-to-Have - Knowledge of Shopify architecture (sections, blocks, metafields, Liquid constraints) - Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator for asset creation) - Familiarity with Notion for project documentation and async collaboration --- ## What We Expect - 4+ years of UX/UI design experience - Proven e-commerce experience (ideally on Shopify) - At least 3 complete e-commerce sites designed end-to-end - Agency or in-house experience on premium projects (fashion, beauty, luxury is a strong plus) - Fluent French (C1/C2) ; working English (B2+) - Obsessive attention to detail: spacing, alignment, typographic consistency, component states, micro-interactions - Autonomous, organized, proactive ; comfortable managing your own workload in a fully remote setup --- ## What to Include in Your Application Your portfolio must demonstrate: - 3 Complete e-commerce projects (not just isolated pages) - Both UX and UI skills: show the process (wireframes, mockups, prototypes) - Aesthetic sensibility aligned with fashion, beauty, or luxury sectors - Design system work or reusable component libraries - Desktop AND mobile responsive design Format: Behance, Dribbble, personal website, PDF, or read-only Figma access on request. If you provide less than 3 e-commerce projects, your application will be automatically rejected.
