iOS App Accessibility Audit

Summary

I'm looking for iOS accessibility compliance for a released iOS app across Apple guidelines. The scope of implemented features currently: - VoiceOver: complete all common tasks with VoiceOver only. Apple’s VoiceOver criteria require navigation, understanding, and activation of visual elements without sighted help: https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-app-accessibility/voiceover-evaluation-criteria/ - Voice Control: complete all common tasks with voice only, including Show Names, Show Numbers, scrolling, dictation, back/close, and icon-only controls. Apple’s criteria require all common tasks/actions/functions to work without touching the display: https://developer.apple.com/help/app-store-connect/manage-app-accessibility/voice-control-evaluation-criteria/ - Larger Text: test at 200%/AX3 and maximum AX size/AX5. - Differentiate Without Color: grayscale/color filter plus system Differentiate Without Color. - Sufficient Contrast: default, Increase Contrast, Reduce Transparency. - Reduced Motion: system Reduce Motion on. - Captions/transcripts: test all spoken audio without hearing. - Audio Descriptions/media inventory: test time-based visual media without seeing. Label Gates VoiceOver: focus order, labels, traits, values, hints, modal escape, no silent visual-only state. Voice Control: visible names match spoken names, icon controls have input labels, custom gestures have voice-operable alternatives, text fields support dictation/editing. Larger Text: no clipped CTAs, no overlapping text, scroll fallback works, primary content remains readable. Dark Interface: currently treat as not claimable unless the app no longer forces light mode and all common tasks are revalidated in dark mode. Differentiate Without Color Alone: selections, warnings, completion, streaks, progress, pricing, errors, and disabled states must use text/icon/shape, not just color. Sufficient Contrast: measure representative text/control pairs. Use 4.5:1 for most text and 3:1 for important non-text controls/status indicators. Reduced Motion: no ongoing decorative motion or major parallax/spinning when enabled; state changes still communicate meaning. Captions: spoken audio needs visible, discoverable, usable transcripts/captions during or immediately after use. Audio Descriptions: inventory onboarding videos/app previews/interstitials. There is a lengthy onboarding (15 screens) that needs an audit, followed by 10-15 screens *INSIDE* the application. We'll need a report on whether it works and could be featured for accessibility by Apple. You must have a working iOS device, not an emulator. Ideally both an iPad and an iPhone.
