iOS App Store Review Specialist Needed — Guideline 5.3.4 Expertise
Worldwide
The Problem We've built a sports betting education and analytics platform and are stuck at Apple App Store review. Apple rejected our app citing guideline 5.3.4 (real money gaming restrictions), but our app: Does NOT accept, place, or facilitate any bets Does NOT hold customer funds or stakes Does NOT determine or settle betting outcomes Does NOT act as a counterparty to gambling Our app is a pure analytics/education tool: it displays publicly available odds from third-party sportsbooks, provides matched-betting and arbitrage calculators, lets users manually log betting activity, and links to licensed operators. We've Already: ✓ Had multiple calls with Apple explaining our use case (no progress) ✓ Drafted a counsel legal opinion arguing our app falls outside 5.3.4 ✓ Built geofencing to only serve licensed operators in user jurisdictions ✓ Implemented proper privacy/security (Face ID, HTTPS, privacy manifests) What We Need Someone who has successfully gotten a similar app through Apple review — ideally someone who: Has previously had an odds-comparison, matched-betting, or sports analytics app approved on the App Store (must be willing to share the app name/reference for verification) Knows Apple's actual interpretation of 5.3.4 vs. what the written guidelines say Understands whether the issue is UX framing, submission messaging, or a hard policy boundary Can provide either: Appeal strategy + revised messaging to resubmit with higher success chance, OR UX recommendations to make the app clearly analytics-only (if any exist that don't break current design), OR Honest assessment if Apple simply won't approve this category (better to know now) What We're NOT Looking For Generic "App Store compliance consultants" with no 5.3.4 experience Theories or speculation — we need proof of a successful precedent Promises to "guarantee approval" (we know Apple moves goalposts) Rewrites of legal opinion (we have counsel for that) Deliverables Document outlining: which approach has the highest success rate (appeal vs. resubmit vs. pivot) If resubmitting: revised app store listing text + any UI tweaks with rationale If appealing: appeal letter framework tailored to Apple's actual concerns Honest timeline estimate (if this takes 6 months of appeals, we need to know) Reference(s) to your own successful precedent(s) About the App Tech stack: React Native/Expo, iOS Model: Subscription-based education platform Category on App Store: Would be "Utilities" or "Lifestyle" (not gambling) Status: Fully functional, ready to ship — only blocking issue is this review Timeline & Budget Timeframe: Need resolution within 3–4 weeks (ideally) Budget: Flexible for proven expertise (not a race-to-the-bottom project) Vetting: Will ask for proof of prior wins on this exact guideline before contracting To Apply: Tell us: An app you got approved that faced similar 5.3.4 pushback (name + link) High-level summary of what worked Your availability to start immediately
