Overview We're a peer-to-peer tutoring marketplace (college students tutoring high school and college students) built in React Native / Expo. The app is functionally built and running on a physical device — all screens, navigation, authentication, and the core booking flow are complete and wired to a live backend. We need an experienced developer to handle the remaining integration work and ship it to the iOS App Store. This is a finish-the-last-mile job, not a from-scratch build. The architecture and design are done. We need someone who has shipped Expo apps to the App Store before and is fluent in Stripe Connect, Supabase, and the EAS build/submission pipeline. Current stack Frontend: React Native via Expo (managed workflow), single-file component architecture using useState-based navigation (intentional — do not migrate to react-navigation) Backend: Supabase — Postgres with Row-Level Security, Supabase Auth, four tables (profiles, bookings, messages, reviews), auto-profile-creation trigger Payments: Stripe account provisioned (Connect not yet implemented) Video: browser-based session links (no in-app video required for v1) Version control: Git, committed Editor/workflow: project is clean and self-contained What's already done All app screens built and navigable on-device (onboarding, browse, tutor profiles, booking, confirmation, sessions, messaging UI, settings, legal pages, tutor + student flows) Supabase Auth fully integrated (sign-up, login, password reset, change password) Booking flow writing live to the database with RLS policies in place Sessions screen reading real data, with cancel functionality Browse flow populated with real tutor data Role-based routing (student vs. tutor) Scope of work — what we need you to deliver EAS development build + production build — configure eas.json, generate the iOS development client, and set up the production build pipeline. (Apple Developer Program enrollment will be provided.) Stripe Connect integration — this is the core of the job: Express connected accounts for tutors, with onboarding flow Payment flow: charge the student the full amount up front at booking, hold funds on the platform balance, and release the tutor's share via transfer after the session completes Separate charges and transfers model Apple Pay support for students Implemented as four Supabase Edge Functions (account creation/onboarding, payment intent, webhook handler, payout/transfer release) All work to be done and verified in Stripe test mode before any production keys are issued Realtime messaging — convert the existing messaging UI to live chat using Supabase Realtime on the existing messages table (columns already defined: sender_id, receiver_id, content, created_at) Apple Push Notifications — set up Expo push + APNs for session reminders, booking confirmations, and new messages App Store submission — app icon integration, screenshots, privacy nutrition labels, App Store Connect listing configuration, and submission through review, including handling any rejection cycles to approval Account-deletion flow — implement in-app account deletion (Apple requirement for account-based apps), cleanly handling the connected Stripe account Accounts to be linked / configured Apple Developer Program, App Store Connect, Stripe (Connect + Apple Pay), Supabase (Edge Functions deployment + secrets), Expo/EAS, and APNs. We will provide access as needed; sensitive owner-level credentials stay with us — you'll be added as a limited team member where applicable. Requirements Proven track record shipping Expo / React Native apps to the iOS App Store (please share App Store links) Hands-on Stripe Connect experience, specifically marketplace/destination-charge or separate charges-and-transfers flows Supabase Edge Functions (Deno/TypeScript) and Postgres/RLS familiarity Comfortable working within an existing codebase and respecting its existing patterns rather than rewriting Deliverables All features above, merged and working on a physical device The app submitted to and approved on the App Store Brief documentation of the Edge Functions and any configuration/secrets set up To apply Share (1) App Store links to Expo apps you've shipped, (2) a one-line description of a Stripe Connect marketplace flow you've built, and (3) your estimated timeline.
