Summary

We run an SEO agency for pest control businesses and we’re building a scalable, repeatable on-page content engine across all clients. We already have detailed SEO roadmaps, URL/keyword maps, and on-page standards – now we need an on-page SEO Writing Assistant who can help us consistently rewrite and create high-quality local content, with AI as part of your workflow from day one. We actively work with local home-service brands, so experience in home services and local “service + city” SEO is a big plus. We want a writer who understands local search intent, E-E-A-T, and conversion – not just “SEO keywords” – and who already uses AI tools in a structured, disciplined way to move faster without sacrificing quality. What You’ll Work On You’ll help us build and maintain a library of high-performing local SEO pages, including: — Service pages (e.g., “Termite Control in Irving, TX”) — City/location pages (e.g., “Pest Control in Dallas, TX”) — Supporting content (FAQs, blog posts, topical supporting articles) — Conversion-focused homepage sections for home service businesses — GBP-aligned copy (short descriptions, post concepts, Q&A suggestions) where needed Most of the time you’ll be working from: — Keyword and URL maps — Existing client pages that need to be rewritten or improved — Competitor examples and SERP research — Our internal frameworks/checklists for E-E-A-T and local SEO Your job is to turn that input into clean, conversion-focused copy that reads like a real local business, reflects true expertise, and is structured properly for SEO. What You Should Be Comfortable With You should already have experience in: — Writing and optimizing on-page content for local businesses (ideally home services: pest control, HVAC, roofing, plumbing, lawn, etc.) — Structuring pages with strong titles/meta, H1–H3 hierarchy, section flow, CTAs, and internal link recommendations — Writing for “service + city” and “near me” style search intent without keyword stuffing — Demonstrating E-E-A-T for niches that touch health/safety (e.g., pest control, chemicals, home health concerns) — Turning generic or thin content into specific, locally relevant, high-trust copy — Using AI tools as part of your workflow (outlines, drafts, rewrites), then editing aggressively for accuracy, tone, and compliance Technologies and Tools You don’t need to know our entire stack, but you should already be using a mix of AI and SEO tools. In your application, tell us what you use today. Typical examples: — AI / LLMs: ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc. — On-page/content tools: Surfer, Frase, NeuronWriter, Clearscope, MarketMuse, etc. — SEO tools: Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Search Console, basic GA4 views. — Writing & collaboration: Google Docs, Notion, ClickUp, or similar. If your current process is simply “ask AI for a 1500-word article and paste it,” this is not the right fit. We want someone who can design and run a reliable AI-assisted process, not just press a button. Responsibilities You will: — Rewrite and optimize existing client pages: homepages, core service pages, and city/location pages, using our checklists and examples. — Draft new pages based on keyword/URL maps and outlines (service pages, location pages, FAQ hubs, supporting blog posts). — Structure content for both SEO and conversion: titles, metas, headings, section order, calls-to-action, and internal link suggestions. — Localize content properly: weave in real service areas, common local issues, and proof elements rather than generic “city swap” text. — Apply E-E-A-T principles: communicate real-world experience, risk/safety awareness where relevant, and clear trust signals. — Use AI tools efficiently: generate outlines and first drafts, run structured rewrites, and then polish the final copy yourself. — Run your work through our on-page and E-E-A-T checklists before delivery to reduce revisions. — Take feedback from initial projects and help us turn that into repeatable SOPs so future pages are even faster and more consistent. You do not need to run SEO campaigns or manage clients – your job is to own the on-page writing layer so we can ship high-quality pages faster and at scale. Scope and Engagement — This is an ongoing, long-term role, starting part-time and growing as we add more clients. — Initial work will be focused on rewriting and improving existing on-page content for one client, then expanding to others. — Workload may be defined by page deliverables (e.g., X service/city pages per month) or hours, depending on your preference. — We expect you to use AI to move efficiently, but with strong human editing and responsibility for the final result.
