QA tester for new SaaS tool featuring 3D config and 2D customizer
Worldwide
We’ve built a SaaS product that gives e‑commerce store owners (Shopify / WooCommerce) a powerful 3D product configurator and 2D product customizer. End customers can: Rotate, zoom, swap parts, change colors/materials in real‑time 3D (Three.js / WebGL) Upload images, add text, choose patterns in 2D (Fabric.js) – live‑synced with the 3D model Save designs and get print‑ready files (PNG/PDF) Merchants pay via Stripe subscriptions. The customizer embeds into their storefront, and the host cart handles checkout. We need a sharp QA tester to break things, measure performance, and document glitches – especially on mobile WebGL, which is our highest risk area. What You’ll Test (Core Focus Areas) 3D Configurator Rotation, zoom, pan, part swapping, material/texture changes – smooth? Glitches: texture flips, lighting errors, FPS drops, model loading failures (GLB/OBJ/FBX) Performance: load time, memory usage, large UV textures 2D Customizer Upload image, text (Google Fonts), templates/patterns, color changes Real‑time sync with 3D model – does the 2D change update the 3D view correctly? Cross‑browser & Device Desktop: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge Mobile: iOS Safari, Android Chrome – mobile WebGL performance is critical Tablets (iPad, Android) E‑commerce Integration Embed code works in a test Shopify store & WooCommerce store Webhooks / sync (products, variations, orders) from Shopify/WooCommerce to our backend Backend API & Billing (light but important) REST endpoints for auth, products, variations, uploads, orders, subscription (Stripe) Print‑ready file export (fidelity check: PNG/PDF match 3D/2D preview) Bug Reporting You’ll provide video recordings (Loom or similar) for any 3D rendering glitches – text alone doesn’t cut it Track bugs in our shared tool (Trello / Jira – we’ll adapt to what you prefer) Tech Stack You’ll Be Testing Frontend: Next.js 15 / React 19, TypeScript, Zustand, Tailwind 3D: Three.js / WebGL 2D: Fabric.js Backend: Node.js + Express, TypeORM, PostgreSQL (Supabase) Assets: Cloudflare R2 + Cloudinary Billing: Stripe Integrations: Shopify API, WooCommerce REST API + webhooks You don’t need to be a developer, but you should understand basic API behavior and browser dev tools (network tab, console). 2+ years manual QA testing for web applications (SaaS or e‑commerce a plus) Demonstrated experience testing WebGL/Three.js apps – please mention a past 3D configurator or game you tested Strong with cross‑browser and mobile device testing (BrowserStack or real devices) Comfortable measuring and reporting performance (FPS, load time, memory) – you know what “good” 3D feels like on mobile You write clear, reproducible bug reports with video attachments Familiar with REST APIs (Postman or similar) Good English communication (written) Deliverables Test plan (simple: scope, devices/browsers, test data) – we can co‑create Bug report (spreadsheet or Trello/Jira) with: Steps to reproduce Actual vs expected result Video (for visual/3D bugs) Device/browser/OS info Performance summary – which 3D scenes lag on mobile? what’s the FPS range? Go/No‑go recommendation after your test cycle In your proposal, include: A short sentence about a 3D WebGL app or product configurator you’ve tested before (if none, please be honest) Your device/browser testing setup (e.g., real iPhone 13 + Chrome + BrowserStack) A 1‑min Loom/video (optional but encouraged) showing how you’d report a bug in a 3D canvas Your hourly rate and estimated total cost for this scope Generic copy‑paste proposals will be ignored.
