Raised on a farm and around the Indigenous communities of small farmers in India, I believe understanding and managing our ways of living by focusing on our local ecosystems is the best way to act locally to protect the biodiversity and resources around us. I find the permaculture design process an effective medium to bridge the gap and balance our modern ways of living and the age-old wisdom that encourages us to understand our surroundings, ecosystems and people.
