Most of my work is multi-tenant SaaS on Laravel and React. Tenant isolation, subscription billing, roles and permissions, the parts that get messy once you have real customers. 15 years with Laravel and React, Top Rated Plus, over $200K earned here, and about 3 years working with Australian teams. ⚙️ WHAT I BUILD WITH LARAVEL + REACT • Multi-tenant Laravel apps. Single database or database-per-tenant, workspace and team models, feature gating, white labeling. • Subscription billing with Laravel Cashier, Stripe and Paddle. Proration and mid-cycle plan changes are where most of these break, so I spend time there. • React front ends that don't slow down as the app grows. Inertia.js if you want a Laravel + React monorepo, or a React SPA against a Laravel REST API. TanStack Query, Tailwind. • Real-time React dashboards on Laravel WebSockets, with Horizon handling the queues. • OpenAI and Claude features built into Laravel services and React interfaces. 🎯 WHAT PEOPLE USUALLY COME TO ME WITH A Laravel SaaS that was fine at 10 tenants and is struggling at 200. Billing that looks right until you check the numbers at the end of the month. A Laravel codebase three or four versions behind that needs to get current without a rewrite. A Blade and jQuery front end that everyone agrees should be React. Or a Laravel + React MVP that has to turn into an actual product before the next raise, which usually means tenancy, roles, usage metering and an admin panel. I've built dozens of Laravel and React applications on AWS over the years. Two of them I'm still proud of: a Laravel platform on Google Cloud for BRAC that serves over a million users, and a patient records system for Evercare Hospitals on Oracle Cloud. Both were the kind of project where downtime is not an option, and that habit carried over into how I run smaller Laravel and React jobs. 🤝 HOW I WORK I'm in Bangladesh and I work Australian hours, so we actually overlap during your day. At the end of each session I send a short note covering what I finished, what's next, and anything I'm stuck on. Nothing formal, but you're never left wondering. I handle the deployment side too. AWS or GCP, CI/CD, queue workers, monitoring. It saves you having to coordinate between a developer and a sysadmin. ✅ GOOD FIT IF You have a Laravel + React SaaS running or nearly there, and you're looking for someone to stay with it rather than the cheapest quote this week. My rate is $50/hr and I keep it there. I'd rather work with a few clients for years than raise prices on them every few months. Probably not a good fit if you need one-off WordPress work, or a rewrite finished by Friday. If you want to talk through what you're building, send me a message. I usually reply within a few hours during AU business hours.

Your team is losing hours every week exporting data by hand. Your dashboards time out because nobody ever tuned the queries behind them. Reports arrive too late to act on, and half the numbers don't match between departments. That's the problem I get hired to solve. I'm a Business Economist and Data Analyst with 4+ years turning messy, manual, or slow data operations into automated systems that just work. 🔧 What I actually do: I automate what's eating your team's time. For a US-based education holding company running 8 separate entities, the VP of Finance was spending 2 full days a week manually exporting QuickBooks data and pasting it into shared sheets. I built a Python pipeline on GCP that runs the whole thing daily, automatically, with fault isolation per entity. Result: 16 hours a week back, zero manual touchpoints, 100% accuracy. I turn scattered data into a business health dashboard your leadership actually trusts. Right now I'm running this exact playbook for an import/export distribution company: connected their Odoo ERP straight to BigQuery, designed a proper data mart (Kimball star schema), and I'm building out the KPI dashboards leadership uses to see the business in real time. Along the way, I don't just build what's asked, I actively flag data quality issues nobody had caught (unconverted foreign currency getting mixed into totals, negative delivered quantities) before they turn into bad decisions. I fix slow queries, not just build reports on top of them. Dashboards are only as fast as the SQL behind them. I do hands-on query tuning: EXPLAIN ANALYZE, indexing strategy, cost-based optimization. In one project I took a query from ~600ms down to under 10ms. If your reports are slow, timing out, or your database groans under load, that's a fixable problem, not something to just live with. 💰 Also worth knowing: earlier in my career I translated financial data into upsell/cross-sell strategy that generated $1.5M+ in net profit, so I don't just automate processes, I know which numbers actually move the business. 🛠 Tech Stack & Tools: • BI & Visualization: Power BI (DAX), Looker Studio (formerly Data Studio), Tableau • Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, MongoDB, Databricks • Integrations & APIs: QuickBooks Online REST API, Odoo API, OAuth 2.0 • Automation & Programming: Python (Pandas, NumPy), GCP (Cloud Functions, Scheduler), Power Query, KNIME • Query Performance & Tuning: EXPLAIN ANALYZE, B-Tree Indexing, Execution Plan Analysis, Query Refactoring, Cost-Based Optimization I am actively seeking opportunities where I can apply my unique blend of analytical skills and commercial perspective to help forward-thinking international companies make smarter, data-driven decisions. If your data operation runs on manual work, slow queries, or reports nobody fully trusts, let's talk. 📩 Send me an invite or drop a message with what's slowing your team down

What does a Datatables developer do?

A Datatables developer builds interactive, data-rich tables for web applications using the DataTables JavaScript library. This specialist configures client-side behaviors like sorting and filtering while managing complex server-side data loading through AJAX requests. They transform static HTML tables into dynamic interfaces that handle large datasets without slowing down the user experience. The work involves wiring up API calls to fetch fresh data on every page draw and integrating extensions for advanced features.

  • Initialize DataTables instances and configure column definitions to enable paging, ordering, and searching capabilities. The developer sets specific options to control how the table renders data and responds to user interactions like clicking headers or typing in search boxes.
  • Implement server-side processing by attaching AJAX data loading to each table draw event. This requires building a server response format that matches DataTables expectations and wiring it to the ajax options so the table requests fresh JSON payloads when users change pages or apply filters.
  • Integrate DataTables API calls to read, update, and refresh table data dynamically. The developer uses methods like ajax.reload to fetch new information without reloading the entire page and accesses row or cell data to support custom UI logic.
  • Add and configure extensions such as Buttons and Select to enhance interface functionality. This includes setting up export features for PDF or CSV formats and enabling row selection events that trigger specific actions or toggle button states based on user choices.
  • Handle DataTables events and state changes to maintain consistent UI behavior. The developer writes code that listens for selection changes or drawing events and updates related interface elements, ensuring buttons enable or disable correctly based on the current table state.

How to hire a Datatables developer on Upwork

Step 1: Post a job

Define your interactive table requirements clearly to attract qualified candidates. Use the Job Post Generator powered by Uma™, Upwork's Mindful AI to draft a precise description in seconds. Describe your needs for server-side processing or specific extensions, and Uma constructs a tailored post. You can write a new post, update a saved draft, or reuse an existing post.

  • Specify whether the project requires client-side configuration or full server-side AJAX integration for large datasets.
  • List required DataTables extensions, such as Buttons for exports or Select for row interaction, to filter for relevant experience.
  • Include details about your backend API format so developers know how to structure the JSON response for DataTables consumption.

Step 2: Evaluate candidates

Look for portfolios that demonstrate complex table interactions beyond basic setup. Uma can run instant video interviews and build shortlists with side-by-side comparisons to help you assess technical fit quickly.

  • Check for examples of custom column rendering where developers formatted data or added interactive elements within cells.
  • Verify experience with state saving and restoration, which ensures user preferences persist across page reloads.
  • Review code samples for proper use of the DataTables API to reload data without destroying the table instance.

Step 3: Interview your top choices

Discuss specific implementation challenges to gauge problem-solving skills. Schedule and conduct interviews within Upwork Messages, which generates an immediate transcript and summary after each session.

  • Ask how they handle errors during AJAX requests to maintain UI stability when the server fails to return data.
  • Request an explanation of their approach to optimizing performance for tables with thousands of rows.
  • Discuss their method for integrating custom buttons that trigger actions based on current row selection states.

Step 4: Agree on scope and begin work

Set clear milestones for table configuration, API integration, and extension setup. Use Upwork Messages and the contract workroom for communication and project management, plus identity verification, payment protection, hourly tracking, and project funds for security.

  • Define deliverables such as a fully configured DataTables instance with paging, ordering, and searching enabled.
  • Require tested server-side processing logic that correctly formats JSON responses for each table draw event.
  • Specify acceptance criteria for extension features, including CSV export functionality and dynamic button states based on selection.
