After being one of the national-ranked students for my A-Levels, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. I am currently employed as a medical laboratory technician at C-Lab, an ISO accredited laboratory belonging to one of the most prestigious private hospital in Mauritius, C-Care Wellkin. Always being a hard-worker, ambitious and competitive, I have engaged in numerous activities, such as the Duke of Edinburgh award, being part of the prefect body, taking part in mathematics competitions. Note that I had an extreme love for Mathematics in high school and I was the top student in the subject in high school with an A+! I also enjoyed reading books and writing. I even wrote a few chapters for a book on an online reading platform, but never posted it. As I grew up, I found myself inclining more towards the science side, particularly, towards research and laboratory work. Working on my dissertation at the university has allowed me to develop several skills, in particular practical skills, in the field of microbiology and molecular biology. It made me experienced in RNA extraction and RT-PCR.
