My strength is non-imaging optical design, but I can basically simulate and optimize anything coherent and incoherent, sequential and non-sequential using FRED Optical Simulation software from Photon Engineering and Quadoa (imaging optics design) . I don't have access to Zemax OpticStudio or Code V, but I can import almost anything from an existing design even if it's not made in FRED or Quadoa. I spend most of my time with virtual prototyping / optical system modeling and building prototypes and experiments. My previous work without full extent: astronomical telescopes, laser range finders, spectrometers, high power laser processing heads, UV laser 3D printing, laser beam shaping, searchlights, headlights, femtosecond laser material processing optics, second harmonic generation, fluorescence microscopy, laser scanning objectives. I run the DIY-Optics.com website, where I offer optics, optomechanics, 3D drawing, laser decapsulation, laser etching and marking, optical consulting services.
