I work out which of your ads are actually working and why, then build the next round from the answer. You will see a lot of video editing in my work history. That is the point. I made paid social ads for years before I started analysing them, so when I tell you an ad is failing at the hook rather than at the offer, I know what changing that actually costs to produce. Most strategists have never cut one. Most creative reviews stop at "this one ranked well." That cannot tell you whether the ad failed at the hook, the page, or the offer, and those three need opposite fixes. Most recent job: read 6,581 ads and $3.8 million of spend for a paid social agency, stage by stage instead of as a ranked list. Found that video earns the click and static earns the qualified lead. I started with four findings, tested all of them against randomised data, and cut the three that did not hold up. That last part is the short version of how I work. Were those the right people. Each stage is a separate question with a separate fix, and once you can see them apart, a leaderboard turns into a decision. On that agency job, the finding held up because of how it was measured. Video click rate ran about 1.7 times static across 125 accounts, but its qualified lead share came in around 6 points lower, and lower in 8 of the 9 accounts with enough volume to compare. Measured inside each account, so the page and the offer were held constant. Two formats doing two different jobs, which means briefing and judging them differently rather than ranking them on one number.
