Azure Cloud Engineer with Go Backend Expertise

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer with strong Go backend experience to review and improve our existing cloud environment. Our application is currently hosted on Microsoft Azure, and the backend services are written in Go. The engagement will begin with a technical audit of the current infrastructure, application architecture, deployment process, security, and operational reliability. The initial scope includes reviewing the existing Azure architecture, identifying security or configuration risks, evaluating deployment and monitoring practices, and recommending practical improvements. After the audit, the engineer may help implement the approved changes and support ongoing cloud and backend work. Key responsibilities include reviewing Azure resources and architecture, evaluating IAM and access controls, checking networking and security configurations, reviewing CI/CD and deployment workflows, analyzing monitoring and logging coverage, and identifying reliability or cost optimization opportunities. You may also review Go backend services, API architecture, authentication, integrations, error handling, and production performance where relevant. We are looking for someone with hands-on production experience in Microsoft Azure, Go backend development, cloud security, and infrastructure troubleshooting. Strong REST API and third-party API integration experience is preferred. Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, or Application Insights is a plus. The engagement will begin at approximately 10 hours per week, with the possibility of additional work based on the audit findings and project needs.
