3D CAD Mechanical Designer Needed for Consumer Resin Product Development

Job Description: DRW LLC is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer/CAD Engineer to translate proprietary aesthetic concepts into production-ready 3D models for a consumer resin product. We are looking for an expert who can interpret design concepts and generate high-precision, manufacturing-ready geometry. Scope of Work: 3D Modeling: Translate provided visual reference concepts into precise 3D CAD models using SolidWorks, or Fusion 360, DFM (Design for Manufacturing): Optimize designs specifically for resin casting and mold preparation, ensuring structural integrity and durability. Technical Documentation: Produce accurate 2D manufacturing drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and assembly specifications. Deliverables: Transfer all native CAD source files (including parameter history) to DRW LLC upon project completion. Project Assets & Confidentiality: Reference Imagery: I have established proprietary visual concepts and reference imagery. These will be shared only after a confidentiality agreement (NDA) is signed and an Upwork contract is active. Confidentiality: Due to the proprietary nature of this product, the selected candidate will be required to sign an NDA and handle all intellectual property with the highest standard of confidentiality. Requirements: Proven experience in consumer product design using 3D CAD. Strong knowledge of casting or molding processes (DFM). Ability to work from aesthetic references to develop dimensionally accurate engineering models. Portfolio demonstrating similar manufacturing-ready projects.
