Construction, Restoration and Estimating Advisor

Title: Construction and Restoration Advisor (Hourly, Ongoing) for Building Damage Education Project We are a property owner side law practice in Oregon working on construction defect and insurance recovery matters. We are building an education and advisory network and want someone who has actually scoped and priced repairs. What you would do - Explain how repair scopes and estimates are built, and where they get disputed. - Walk us through common building envelope and water intrusion failures and what they cost to fix properly. - Review our educational materials so the construction side is accurate. - Occasional calls, roughly 2 to 4 hours a month to start. Who you are - 10+ years in construction, restoration, or estimating. - General contracting, envelope, roofing, or water and fire restoration. - Fluent in Xactimate or comparable estimating software. - You have seen the gap between what a carrier will pay and what the repair actually costs. - Multifamily, condo, or HOA project experience is a strong plus.
