Customer service for e-commerce site selling technical products

Contract position working 3:30pm - 8:00pm EST, Monday-Friday. Applicants need to reside in continental United States. Offer exemplary customer service, including maintaining customer relationships and ensuring repeat customers by promptly and accurately taking care of customer inquiries. Promptly respond to customer inquiries via telephone, email, text, and chat. Possess a working knowledge of the products and processes used in the industries we serve or a willingness to learn. Provide first-level education to customers about the products. Ensure customers are aware of the products that meet their applications. Assist customers with order entry, quote generation, and account creation. Recognize signs of fraud and are comfortable using company fraud detection software to safely validate and release orders. Education High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Experience Basic understanding of or ability to be trained to work with programs such as Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, etc.), an ERP system, and other web and software-based products. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Previous customer service experience. Knowledge of the HVAC/R industry a plus. Physical Demands The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and viewing of computer screens. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and sit.
