Customs/Trade Attorney (Licensed Customs Broker a Plus) — CBP Valuation Hold

We're a US importer of record seeking experienced customs counsel to handle an active CBP matter. A shipment is on hold pending examination, flagged on valuation grounds. We need someone who can move quickly. Scope: 1. Review our US entry history and any outstanding CF-28 / CF-29 notices 2. Prepare and submit our response to CBP as importer of record 3. Advise on exposure (penalties under 19 USC 1592), prior disclosure considerations, and a reasonable care position, plus likely outcomes Ideal candidate: - Practicing US customs / international trade attorney - Licensed customs broker strongly preferred (dual-qualified ideal) - Experience with CBP valuation disputes, penalty cases, and prior disclosures - Former CBP background a plus - Available for a 30-minute scoping call this week or early next, and able to act on a short timeline To apply: Briefly outline your relevant customs/trade experience, confirm whether you hold a customs broker licence, and note your availability for a scoping call.
