Founding Contract Engineer – Full Stack + AI Agent Systems

PaiBox is an AI-driven property maintenance operations platform that automates maintenance coordination between property managers, vendors, and tenants. We already have real customers, live work orders flowing through the platform, and active user feedback driving our roadmap. We're looking for a hands-on full-stack engineer to join us on a 3-month contract and help rapidly ship new features. What You'll Build -Frontend -React Native (Expo 53) -TypeScript -Zustand -NativeWind (Tailwind) -Expo Router -Single codebase deployed to iOS, Android, and Web. Backend -Java 17 -Spring Boot 3 -PostgreSQL -Redis -Flyway -WebSocket / STOMP AI & Automation -AWS Bedrock (Claude) -AI workflow automation -Maintenance diagnostic agent -Python on AWS Lambda Integrations -Twilio (SMS & Conversations) -SendGrid -Push notifications -AWS S3 -AWS Textract What We're Looking For -5+ years of full-stack development experience -Strong React / React Native + TypeScript experience -Strong backend engineering skills (Java/Spring Boot preferred) -Comfortable owning features end-to-end, from database to UI -Experience working in startup environments -Ability to move quickly and ship production-quality code Nice to Have -LLM / AI Agent experience -AWS (Bedrock, Lambda, S3) -Docker / Kubernetes -Real-time messaging systems -Workflow automation products Engagement Details -Contract: 3 months -Location: 100% Remote -Hours: Flexible, but responsiveness during US business hours preferred -Start Date: Immediate
