Fractional Product Manager for Financial System

We are seeking an experienced fractional product manager to support the implementation and optimization of a financial information system for a specialized, regulated financial workflow. The product manager will translate business and accounting requirements into an actionable implementation plan, coordinate technical and nontechnical stakeholders, oversee integrations and data workflows, and help ensure the system produces accurate, auditable outputs. Responsibilities include: - Define requirements, priorities, milestones, and acceptance criteria - Coordinate system configuration and third-party integrations - Translate financial accounting and analysis needs into product requirements - Oversee data validation, reconciliation, testing, and issue resolution - Maintain documentation and a clear decision log - Incorporate applicable compliance, security, and audit requirements - Identify opportunities to streamline existing financial processes - Provide concise progress and risk reporting to stakeholders Ideal candidates will have: - Product management experience involving financial or accounting systems - Strong understanding of financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting - Experience managing system implementations or modernization projects - Familiarity with regulated or audit-sensitive environments - Excellent stakeholder communication and documentation skills - The ability to work independently in a fractional capacity This is a part-time engagement expected to last 6–12 months.
